【摘要】：1858年清政府與英、法、美、俄簽訂的《天津條約》規(guī)定了江西的九江為通商口岸。1861年11月法國傳教士從九江來到南昌傳教,開始了近代西方傳教士在江西傳教的歷程。由于傳教士們的強橫霸道和不良行徑,江西的士民們掀起了一撥又一撥的反洋教斗爭,從1862年至1908年間,江西全省的反洋教案件不下三千余起。鄉(xiāng)紳在晚清時期的江西反洋教斗爭中起了重要作用,他們或組織或積極參與反洋教斗爭。鄉(xiāng)紳們之所以積極組織或參與反洋教,因為他們是傳統(tǒng)儒家文化的維護者及他們有著地方事務的自覺責任感。
[Abstract]:The Treaty of Tianjin signed by the Qing government and Britain, France, the United States and Russia in 1858 stipulated that Jiujiang was the port of trade in Jiangxi. In November, 1861, French missionaries came to Nanchang from Jiujiang to preach, and began the course of preaching in Jiangxi by western missionaries in modern times. As a result of the overbearing and unscrupulous behavior of missionaries, Jiangxi taxi people set off a series of anti-foreign religious struggles. From 1862 to 1908, there were more than 3,000 anti-foreign religious cases in Jiangxi Province. The squire played an important role in the struggle of anti-foreign religion in Jiangxi in the late Qing Dynasty, and they organized or participated actively in the anti-foreign religion struggle. The gentry actively organize or participate in anti-foreign religion because they are the defenders of traditional Confucian culture and they have a sense of responsibility for local affairs.
