目的論視角下新疆高校網(wǎng)頁簡介英譯的研究

【摘要】:隨著國家一帶一路戰(zhàn)略的提出,各學校之間的學術交流日益增強。越來越多的中國學生選擇出國留學,與此同時,選擇在國內(nèi)或者疆內(nèi)的留學生數(shù)量也越來越多。在此機遇下,為了使國外學生能夠更好地了解學校,學校的網(wǎng)頁簡介資料作為學校外宣形象的重要傳播途徑,發(fā)揮著顯著作用。得體合理的學校簡介宣傳具有信息功能和感召功能,有助于建立良好的學校形象,提高學校在其他國家的知名度。如今,許多學校在自己學校的門戶網(wǎng)站配備了中英文簡介,然而許多簡介只停留在在對中文網(wǎng)頁進行大幅段落的直譯階段,未能充分考慮目標受眾的思維模式和文化背景。本文以翻譯目的論為框架結(jié)構(gòu),針對疆內(nèi)高校中英文簡介以及國外名校構(gòu)建平行文本,從語言常規(guī)和文化角度對新疆維吾爾自治區(qū)各高校的漢語簡介與國外名校簡介進行了對比研究,歸納了英語和漢語學校網(wǎng)頁簡介的特征差異。鑒于以上差異,本文作者歸納出翻譯高校網(wǎng)頁簡介的翻譯要求和原則,嘗試運用目的論分析闡述了新疆高校網(wǎng)頁簡介英譯中的常見失誤,并針對翻譯中出現(xiàn)的不足和問題提出建設性的意見,本文還歸納出一些可行的翻譯策略能夠應用在高校網(wǎng)頁翻譯實踐中。本文得出的結(jié)論是:由于英漢高校網(wǎng)頁簡介在詞匯,文本,內(nèi)容和文化等方面存在巨大差異,英文版的高校網(wǎng)頁簡介不應該過分拘泥于原文的形式和內(nèi)容,而更應該優(yōu)先考慮譯文的目的。高校網(wǎng)頁簡介存在一些翻譯不足,因此采用合適的翻譯策略能夠更好的發(fā)揮譯文重要的作用。為了能夠更加有效地達到譯文的目的,同時滿足目的語讀者的要求,本研究提出幾個建議性的解決辦法,認為明確翻譯要求,提高譯者翻譯能力,改善翻譯質(zhì)量監(jiān)督,并且采用簡化,改寫,省略的翻譯策略能夠改善高校網(wǎng)頁翻譯現(xiàn)狀。
[Abstract]:With the national Belt and Road strategy, academic exchanges between schools are increasingly strengthened. More and more Chinese students choose to study abroad, at the same time, more and more Chinese students choose to study abroad. In this opportunity, in order to enable foreign students to better understand the school, the school webpage profile as an important way to spread the image of the school publicity, play a significant role. Proper and reasonable school profile propaganda has the function of information and inspiration, which helps to establish a good school image and enhance the popularity of the school in other countries. Today, many schools have English and Chinese profiles on their own school portals, but many remain at the stage of literal translation of large sections of Chinese pages, failing to take full account of the mindset and cultural background of the target audience. Based on the Skopos theory of translation, this paper aims at constructing parallel texts for the introduction of Chinese and English in colleges and universities in Xinjiang, as well as for famous foreign universities. From the perspective of language convention and culture, this paper makes a contrastive study on the introduction of Chinese language in colleges and universities in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region and the profiles of famous universities abroad, and sums up the differences of the web pages of English and Chinese schools. In view of the above differences, the author sums up the translation requirements and principles of the translation of college web pages, and tries to use Skopos Theory to analyze the common mistakes in translating university web pages in Xinjiang. In view of the shortcomings and problems in translation, this paper also concludes that some feasible translation strategies can be applied to the practice of web translation in colleges and universities. The conclusion of this paper is as follows: since there are great differences in vocabulary, text, content and culture between English and Chinese university web pages, the English version of university web pages should not be excessively restricted to the form and content of the original text. The purpose of the translation should be given priority. There are some deficiencies in translation of college web pages, so appropriate translation strategies can play a more important role in translation. In order to achieve the purpose of the target language more effectively and to meet the needs of the target language readers, the present study proposes several suggested solutions, which are as follows: clarifying translation requirements, improving the translator's translation competence and improving the quality of translation. Furthermore, the translation strategies of simplification, rewriting and ellipsis can improve the current situation of web translation in colleges and universities.
