[Abstract]:At present, there are still many disputes about the related research of Rosenberg self-esteem scale. For example, the multidimensional structure of self-esteem scale in factor analysis is a multi-dimension of self-esteem traits or a factor caused by other factors. Does the forward self-esteem problem and the reverse self-esteem problem measure the same self-esteem traits? Is the worded effect of the self-esteem scale different from the trait factors? Does the wording effect have the stability of cross-scale? In order to solve the above problems, the Rosenberg self-esteem scale (RSES), dual filial piety scale (DFPS) and self-monitoring (SMS) were used to reverse all the problems of the scale and form a reverse scale with the opposite direction of statement but the same meaning. 1300 college students were randomly selected from a university in eastern China as the subjects of the study. After excluding the incomplete questionnaire, 1198 valid subjects, accounting for 92.1% of the total number of subjects, were selected, including 696 boys (58%) and 502 girls (42%), with an average age of 18.7 (SD=1.05). In order to analyze the impact of positive and negative questions on the self-esteem scale, We analyze the reliability and validity of each version of the self-esteem scale by (CFA), to compare the influence of the wording effect of the positive and negative statement questions on the reliability and validity of the scale. Finally, we use the method of multiple scales to detect the relationship between the wording effects in different measurement tools by using the method of CFA at the same time. The results show that: (1) the positive and negative questions have the same measuring performance, and the positive and negative wording effects can seriously affect the structural validity of the scale. (2) in the Chinese subjects, the positive and negative questions of the self-esteem scale have the wording effect, and the proportion of variation explained by the wording effect is smaller than that of the trait factor variation. (3) the wording effect does not destroy the one-dimensional structure of the self-esteem scale. The positive self-esteem problem and the reverse self-esteem problem measure the same self-esteem construction. Similarly, the wording effect does not destroy the structure of the filial piety scale, and the filial piety scale itself is a single-dimensional factor structure. (4) in self-esteem, filial piety and general health scale, the wording effect is highly consistent, and the wording effect has the stability of the cross-scale. We regard the wording effect as a stable reaction style or personality trait.
