【摘要】：目前，中國大多數(shù)關于吸煙的研究，都著眼于人口數(shù)超過90%的漢族人群，而對我國官方認可的少數(shù)民族的相關研究卻顯不足。本研究旨在闡明云南省一個人口眾多的少數(shù)民族人群——傣族——使用煙草的情況。研究在符號互動論理論框架中，采用了包括訪談和扎根理論的實驗設計，調查了對煙草和吸煙的體驗與理解，，并檢視了這些體驗與理解是如何同文化心理及社會背景相聯(lián)系的。扎根理論的數(shù)個范疇揭示道：煙草的使用交織于一張意涵復雜的網(wǎng)絡之中，特別是社會互動與社會交流、對健康與疾病的認識、莊稼人的田間生活，這些內容又受諸如年齡和性別這樣的社會變化與社會結構所調節(jié)。 本研究的一個關鍵發(fā)現(xiàn)是：煙草的部署，仿佛一種傳統(tǒng)與現(xiàn)代相對抗的符號。通過與現(xiàn)代性的較量，老年男性捍衛(wèi)著吸煙習俗，就像捍衛(wèi)著他們的傣族傳統(tǒng)一般；他們對煙草的使用，就如在日益吞食日常生活的現(xiàn)代性浪潮中，對傳統(tǒng)文化的一種支持。不過，年輕的傣族則偏愛現(xiàn)代品牌的香煙，這種香煙標志著活在現(xiàn)代，也標志著他們視為正常的、時尚的當代生活方式。研究的發(fā)現(xiàn)還告訴我們：透過煙草使用背后的社會過程和背景，我們可認識到中國的社會習俗。這些發(fā)現(xiàn)對煙草控制策略有著重要的啟示：在進行健康教育與干預時，如果能兼顧文化適宜性，并能融入人們的信念和文化社會背景，那么其效果可能會更佳。
[Abstract]:At present, most of the studies on smoking in China focus on the Han population of more than 90% of the population, but not on the officially recognized ethnic minorities in China. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the tobacco use of Dai ethnic group in Yunnan province. In the framework of symbolic interaction theory, the experimental design including interviews and rooted theory is used to investigate the experience and understanding of tobacco and smoking, and to examine how these experiences and understandings are related to cultural psychology and social background. Rooted in several categories of theory reveals that tobacco use is intertwined in a complex network of implications, especially social interaction and social communication, knowledge of health and disease, and farm life. These elements are regulated by social changes and social structures such as age and gender. One of the key findings of this study is that tobacco deployment seems to be a symbol that confronts tradition and modernity. By battling with modernity, older men defend smoking as they defend their Dai traditions; their use of tobacco is like a support for traditional culture in the tide of modernity that increasingly engulfs daily life. Young Dai people, however, prefer modern brands of cigarettes, which mark modern life and what they regard as a normal, stylish contemporary way of life. The findings also tell us that through the social process and background behind tobacco use, we can recognize the social customs of China. These findings have important implications for tobacco control strategies: when carrying out health education and intervention, the effect may be better if we can take into account the cultural suitability, people's beliefs and cultural and social background.
