[Abstract]:Reading is an important means to acquire knowledge. Most people have the habit of reading while listening to music, but in reading Chinese-English articles, different background concerts have different effects on the reading process. It is worth studying how to reduce the interference of background music to reading activities, to obtain better reading results and to find more efficient reading methods. In this study, eye movement tracking technique was used in two experiments. Thirty college students from Nanjing normal University and Hehai University were selected. The two experiments were designed in 2 (music language: Chinese songs, English songs) 脳 2 (music rhythm: fast rhythm, slow rhythm), and the baseline level was no background music. Experiment 1 is an eye movement study on the influence of background music on Chinese text reading, and experiment 2 is an eye movement study on the influence of background music on English text reading. The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of background music and background music on Chinese-English text reading when background music is fast and slow rhythm, so as to find more efficient reading methods. The results of this study show that background music has the least influence on the eye movement index of Chinese-English reading process, the difference of eye movement index under the background music condition is significant, and there is no significant difference in the correct rate of answering questions between the music with or without background music. In conclusion, the following conclusions can be drawn: (1) experiment 1: background concert influences the reading process of Chinese text. Chinese songs have more influence on the reading process of Chinese texts than English songs, and fast rhythm songs have more influence on the reading process than slow rhythm songs. The silent environment without background music has the least influence on the reading process of Chinese text. Background music has no significant effect on the reading effect. (2) experiment 2: background concert influences the reading process of English text. Chinese songs have more influence on the reading process than English songs, fast rhythm Chinese songs have more influence on the reading process than slow Chinese songs, but slow rhythm English songs have more influence on the reading process than fast rhythm English songs. The silent environment without background music has the least influence on the reading process of English text. Background music has no significant effect on reading.
