中美面子文化差異及其對跨文化社會交際的影響

【摘要】:隨著經(jīng)濟全球化進程的不斷加快,跨文化交際變得越來越頻繁。但由于文化習(xí)俗的差異,不同地域的人在跨文化交際中會遭遇文化沖突。胡文仲(1999)歸納了跨文化交際的三大障礙:認識上的誤區(qū)、刻板印象和民族中心主義。 面子是文化的一個重要組成部分,它對人們的社會交際會產(chǎn)生很大的影響。由于不同文化背景的人對面子的認識存在差異,他們之間的交流勢必會受到阻礙。如何更好地處理跨文化社會交際中的面子問題是一個亟待解決的問題。雖然很多學(xué)者從不同領(lǐng)域?qū)Υ藛栴}作過較多研究,也曾發(fā)表過大量相關(guān)的文章,但跨文化社會交際中面子問題的研究卻很少。 本文對薩莫瓦、霍夫斯泰德等人有關(guān)文化的理論,布朗、斯考倫、丁吐米、胡先縉等人有關(guān)面子的理論進行了較為深入的探討,并在此基礎(chǔ)上,就中美面子文化差異是否會影響社會交際行為這一問題進行了深層次的探討,提出了一些新觀點,既擴大了面子理論在跨文化交際中的應(yīng)用,又豐富了跨文化的內(nèi)涵。 本文以電影《喜宴》為例,通過對比分析電影片段中社會交際的行為,旨在發(fā)現(xiàn)面子觀是如何影響社會交際的,推導(dǎo)出受傳統(tǒng)文化影響的中國人在社會交際中更加注重面子,并且會為了面子而做出一些違背時代潮流的事情。這些行為不但不能夠被美國人所完全理解,而且從某種程度上來說,對資源是一種極大的浪費。最后,筆者將結(jié)合本文研究成果和國人在社會交際中受傳統(tǒng)面子觀影響的事實提出合理化建議,進而避免中美社會交際中的面子問題,促進跨文化交際的順利進行。本文還對國人在社會交際中由于面子問題所造成的資源浪費提出建議,以避免資源的極大浪費,促使人際交往更加和諧。
[Abstract]:With the accelerating process of economic globalization, cross-cultural communication becomes more and more frequent. However, due to the differences of cultural customs, People from different regions will encounter cultural conflicts in cross-cultural communication. Hu Wenzhong (1999) summed up three obstacles to cross-cultural communication: misunderstanding stereotype and ethnocentrism. Face is an important part of culture, it will have a great impact on people's social communication. Because people from different cultural backgrounds have different understanding of face, Communication between them is bound to be hindered. How to better deal with the face problem in intercultural social communication is an urgent problem to be solved. Although many scholars have done more research on this issue from different fields, A large number of related articles have been published, but the study of face in cross-cultural social communication is rare. This paper makes a deep discussion on the cultural theories of Samova, Hofstede, Brown, Scoren, Ding Tumi, Hu Xianjin and others, and on this basis, This paper makes a deep discussion on whether the cultural difference of face between China and the United States will affect the social communication behavior, and puts forward some new points of view, which not only enlarge the application of face theory in cross-cultural communication, but also enrich the connotation of cross-culture. Taking the film "Wedding Banquet" as an example, by comparing and analyzing the social communication behavior in the film clip, this paper aims to find out how the face view affects social communication, and to deduce that the Chinese people affected by traditional culture pay more attention to face in social communication. And do things that go against the tide of the times for the sake of face. Not only can they not be fully understood by Americans, but to some extent, they are a great waste of resources. Finally, The author will put forward some reasonable suggestions based on the research results of this paper and the fact that Chinese people are influenced by the traditional face view in social communication so as to avoid the face problem in the social communication between China and the United States. In order to avoid the great waste of resources and promote the harmony of interpersonal communication, this paper also puts forward some suggestions on the waste of resources caused by face problems in Chinese social communication.
