【摘要】：1882年5月22日,薛斐爾代表美國與朝鮮朝簽訂了《朝美修好通商條約》,美國成為第一個與朝鮮朝建立外交關系的西方國家,薛斐爾也成為打開朝鮮朝國門的第一人。薛斐爾與朝鮮朝的最早接觸源于奉命調查"舍門將軍"號事件,借助日本斡旋美朝關系受挫后,最終在中國的幫助下完成了《朝美修好通商條約》的簽訂。經濟擴張主義思想是薛斐爾推動美朝建交的原動力,而其外交智慧和堅韌性格也是條約最終簽訂的重要保障。盡管薛斐爾在美朝建交中發(fā)揮了不可替代的重要作用,但由于是受前任政府的委派以及發(fā)表了有關中國的不當言論,薛斐爾并沒有受到美國政府的應有重視。
[Abstract]:On May 22, 1882, Schaeffer signed the Treaty of Commerce between North Korea and North Korea on behalf of the United States. The United States became the first western country to establish diplomatic relations with the DPRK, and Schaeffer became the first person to open the door of North Korea. Xue Fei's earliest contact with North Korea originated from the orders to investigate the General Sherman incident. After the setback of Japan's mediation relations between the United States and the DPRK, he finally completed the Treaty of Commerce between the DPRK and the United States with the help of China. The thought of economic expansionism is the driving force of Schafer to promote the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and North Korea, and his diplomatic wisdom and tenacity are also important guarantees for the final signing of the treaty. Although Xue Fei played an irreplaceable role in the establishment of diplomatic relations between the United States and North Korea, because he was appointed by the previous government and made inappropriate remarks about China, he did not receive the due attention of the United States government.
