【摘要】：美國資料中心近年來在世界各地如雨后春筍般建立,這是21世紀(jì)以來美國政府在全世界范圍內(nèi)為重塑美國形象而拓展的公共外交新平臺之一。自2005年至今,美國在臺協(xié)會已經(jīng)在臺灣北、中、南部重要城市及其周邊社區(qū)設(shè)立多家美國資料中心,并積極創(chuàng)設(shè)網(wǎng)絡(luò)化的"虛擬美國資料中心",形成兼具實體機構(gòu)和"虛擬社區(qū)"的覆蓋網(wǎng)絡(luò)。美國資料中心結(jié)合美國文化書籍參考服務(wù)和文化活動場所功能,在美國在臺協(xié)會的協(xié)調(diào)之下,已經(jīng)成為向臺灣展示美國文化、促進相互理解和培育共同價值觀的重要窗口,也是當(dāng)前美國政府發(fā)揮軟實力、塑造美國形象的工具,同時還是美國政府為重新確認(rèn)"與臺灣強有力關(guān)系"戰(zhàn)略目標(biāo)而實施文化外交的具體體現(xiàn),具有長期性和很強的滲透性特征。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the United States Information Center has been established all over the world, which is one of the new platforms of public diplomacy developed by the United States government in order to rebuild the image of the United States in the world since the 21st century. Since 2005, the American Society in Taiwan has set up a number of American data centers in important cities in the northern, central and southern parts of Taiwan and their surrounding communities. And the virtual American data center is established actively to form the covering network of both entity organization and virtual community. The United States Resource Center has become an important window for showing American culture to Taiwan, promoting mutual understanding and fostering common values, in conjunction with the functions of American cultural reference services and cultural venues, and under the coordination of the American Association in Taiwan. It is also a tool for the US Government to exert its soft power and shape the image of the United States. At the same time, it is also a concrete embodiment of the US Government's cultural diplomacy in order to reconfirm the strategic goal of "strong relations with Taiwan." It is characterized by long-term and strong permeability.
