【摘要】：1990年底，約翰梅杰接替撒切爾夫人擔(dān)任英國(guó)首相之后，不失時(shí)機(jī)的調(diào)整了英國(guó)的外交政策，其中歐洲政策的調(diào)整是最為重要和突出的。梅杰改變了撒切爾抵制歐洲一體化的僵硬立場(chǎng)，謀求英國(guó)處在歐洲的中心。在面對(duì)經(jīng)濟(jì)一體化浪潮時(shí)，梅杰政府主張逐步加入歐洲共同市場(chǎng)，，但是拒絕加入歐洲單一貨幣體系，并在許多歐洲共同經(jīng)濟(jì)政策上取得了“例外權(quán)”。在面對(duì)歐洲政治聯(lián)盟建設(shè)時(shí)，英國(guó)主張加快歐盟擴(kuò)大進(jìn)程，英國(guó)反對(duì)出讓國(guó)家主權(quán)，反對(duì)建立超國(guó)家性質(zhì)的歐洲聯(lián)盟，主張建立松散的政府間聯(lián)盟，反對(duì)建立歐洲獨(dú)立防御體系，主張建立以北約為主導(dǎo)的歐洲防務(wù)力量。 梅杰希望在歐洲一體化的浪潮中為英國(guó)爭(zhēng)取更多的國(guó)家利益，但是又不想真正的加入到一體化進(jìn)程中來(lái)，英國(guó)在歐洲一體化進(jìn)程中顯示了自己的獨(dú)特性。
[Abstract]:After John Major succeeded Margaret Thatcher as British prime minister in 1990, he lost no time in adjusting British foreign policy, among which the adjustment of European policy was the most important and prominent.Major changed Thatcher's rigid stance against European integration and sought to keep Britain at the centre of Europe.In the face of a wave of economic integration, Major's government advocated a gradual accession to the European Common Market, but refused to join the European single currency system and gained "exceptional rights" in many European common economic policies.In the face of the construction of a political union in Europe, Britain advocated speeding up the process of EU enlargement. It opposed the transfer of national sovereignty, the establishment of a supranational European Union, and the establishment of a loose intergovernmental union.Oppose the establishment of an independent European defense system and advocate the establishment of a NATO-led European defense force.Major hopes to fight for more national interests for Britain in the wave of European integration, but does not want to really join in the process of integration, the United Kingdom has shown its uniqueness in the process of European integration.
