[Abstract]:The eighth Russian-Eastern European Central Asian and World High-level Forum, which is being co-hosted by the Russian Institute of Eastern European Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Central Asian Society of Russia and Eastern Europe of China, was held in Beijing on 8 December 2016. Hundreds of scholars from domestic academic institutions and related institutions gathered together to discuss the general situation and hot issues in the Central Asian region of Russia and Eastern Europe. The meeting was presided over by Li Jinfeng, Secretary of the Central Asian Institute of Eastern Europe, with speech by Li Yongquan, Director and President of the Institute. Director General Gui Cong-you of the Eurasia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs first made a keynote report on the current situation and changes in Eurasia.
