C2H2鋅指蛋白LRG1調(diào)控水稻小穗的發(fā)育(英文)

水稻小穗是一種獨(dú)特的花序結(jié)構(gòu),其發(fā)育直接決定種子的大小和產(chǎn)量.一個(gè)正常的水稻小穗包含一個(gè)可育小花(1個(gè)外稃、1個(gè)內(nèi)稃、2個(gè)漿片、6個(gè)雄蕊和1個(gè)雌蕊)、一對(duì)護(hù)穎及一對(duì)副護(hù)穎.通過(guò)EMS誘變,本研究分離得到了一個(gè)新的隱性水稻小穗突變體lacking rudimentary glume 1(lrg1). lrg1的小穗僅僅只有一個(gè)副護(hù)穎,且其與護(hù)穎一起被同源轉(zhuǎn)化為外稃狀器官.細(xì)胞學(xué)和分子生物學(xué)研究發(fā)現(xiàn), LRG1基因在水稻小穗副護(hù)穎中顯著表達(dá),證明了LRG1是副護(hù)穎的特征基因.此外, lrg1突變體谷粒表型異常是由穎殼細(xì)胞數(shù)目和大小決定的,說(shuō)明LRG1還參與調(diào)控谷粒大小.進(jìn)一步的實(shí)驗(yàn)發(fā)現(xiàn), LRG1基因編碼的ZOS4-06-C2H2鋅指結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)錄因子可能是與TPRs蛋白相互作用來(lái)抑制下游基因表達(dá).本研究一方面證實(shí)了副護(hù)穎、護(hù)穎和外稃是同源器官,另一方面LRG1基因參與調(diào)控種子大小,為分子設(shè)計(jì)育種提供了新的基因資源.
