前額葉皮層和紋狀體群體神經(jīng)元編碼刺激和獎勵信息

前額葉皮層和紋狀體通過直接或間接通路緊密聯(lián)系,它們是腦內(nèi)兩個非常重要的腦區(qū)。許多研究報道了這兩個腦區(qū)具有類似的高級認(rèn)知功能,如:參與運動控制、價值計算、行為決策、學(xué)習(xí)和記憶以及獎賞信息處理等。此外,前額葉皮層的神經(jīng)元編碼了一組刺激(一個集合)與獎勵的關(guān)系,而紋狀體神經(jīng)元編碼了一個特定刺激與獎勵的關(guān)系。前額葉皮層參與基于模型算法(model-based learning)的價值計算,而紋狀體參與無模型算法(model-free learning)的價值計算。但這些結(jié)果大多基于對單個神經(jīng)元的發(fā)放活動的研究,很少考慮這兩個腦區(qū)群體神經(jīng)元能否穩(wěn)定地表征與任務(wù)相關(guān)的信息。為進(jìn)一步研究這個問題,在一個刺激-獎勵預(yù)測實驗中,記錄了獼猴(Macaca fuscata)的前額葉皮層和紋狀體中單個神經(jīng)元的活動,采用多變量回歸分析和線性支持向量機(jī)分類的方法研究了群體神經(jīng)元編碼的信息。結(jié)果發(fā)現(xiàn),盡管與任務(wù)相關(guān)的神經(jīng)元的比例在整個試驗中變化較大,但前額葉群體神經(jīng)元穩(wěn)定、可靠地編碼了獎勵和刺激信息,紋狀體群體神經(jīng)元在整個試驗期間也編碼了獎勵信息,但沒有編碼刺激信息。這兩個區(qū)域的神經(jīng)元都編碼了刺激和獎勵的組合信息,...
