【摘要】：本文試圖通過(guò)對(duì)美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文的概念隱喻歷時(shí)研究探索概念隱喻在政治話語(yǔ)認(rèn)知理解中的作用,以期回答以下問(wèn)題：(1)1961年到2011年的國(guó)情咨文里有哪些主要的概念隱喻類(lèi)型?(2)這些概念隱喻類(lèi)型是如何歷時(shí)變化的?(3)這些變化的原因及其反映的執(zhí)政理念是怎樣變化的? 本文在概念隱喻理論指導(dǎo)下,通過(guò)隱喻源域和目標(biāo)域的映射關(guān)系,根據(jù)源域類(lèi)型,發(fā)現(xiàn)相對(duì)穩(wěn)定的隱喻種類(lèi)；通過(guò)對(duì)這些隱喻的歷時(shí)觀察,發(fā)現(xiàn)其變化趨勢(shì)；結(jié)合國(guó)內(nèi)外政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)背景,來(lái)分析隱喻變化的原因及這些變化反映的執(zhí)政理念。 本文研究發(fā)現(xiàn),(1)美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文中概念隱喻主要有六種,即建筑隱喻、旅程隱喻、機(jī)器隱喻、水流隱喻、有機(jī)體隱喻、戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)隱喻,其他類(lèi)型還有家庭隱喻等；(2)這些概念隱喻的歷時(shí)變化為：建筑隱喻和有機(jī)體隱喻呈現(xiàn)較輕微的波動(dòng),而水流隱喻呈現(xiàn)較大的波動(dòng),機(jī)器隱喻呈現(xiàn)持續(xù)的增長(zhǎng),旅程隱喻呈現(xiàn)先減少后穩(wěn)定的趨勢(shì),戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)隱喻呈現(xiàn)先增長(zhǎng)后下降的趨勢(shì)；(3)概念隱喻的變化主要受到美國(guó)國(guó)內(nèi)外政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)及總統(tǒng)個(gè)人使用的影響；同時(shí)這些類(lèi)型的變化也反映出,美國(guó)的執(zhí)政理念從1961-1991冷戰(zhàn)期間以鞏固國(guó)家基礎(chǔ)為主發(fā)展到1991-2000年期間政府用強(qiáng)勢(shì)的手段處理國(guó)內(nèi)外事務(wù),最后發(fā)展到2001-2011年政府順應(yīng)民眾對(duì)和平的追求,執(zhí)政手段趨于和平。
[Abstract]:This paper attempts to explore the role of conceptual metaphor in the cognitive understanding of political discourse through the diachronic study of conceptual metaphor in the State of the Union address in the United States. In order to answer the following questions: (1) what are the main types of conceptual metaphors in the State of the Union address from 1961 to 2011? (2) how do these conceptual metaphors change over time? (3) what are the reasons for these changes and how do they reflect the change of the concept of governance? Under the guidance of conceptual metaphor theory and the mapping relationship between the source domain and the target domain, this paper finds the relatively stable types of metaphor according to the source domain type, finds the changing trend of these metaphors through the diachronic observation of these metaphors, and combines the domestic and foreign politics. Economic background, to analyze the reasons of metaphorical changes and the governance concept reflected by these changes. This paper finds that (1) there are six kinds of conceptual metaphors in American State of the Union address, namely, architectural metaphor, journey metaphor, machine metaphor, flow metaphor, organic metaphor, war metaphor, and other types of family metaphors. (2) the diachronic changes of these conceptual metaphors are as follows: architectural metaphors and organic metaphors show slight fluctuations, while the flow metaphors show greater fluctuations, machine metaphors continue to increase, and the journey metaphors show a trend of first decreasing and then stable. (3) the changes of conceptual metaphors are mainly influenced by the political, economic and personal use of the President at home and abroad. The governing concept of the United States developed from the consolidation of the national foundation during the cold war in 1961-1991 to the strong handling of domestic and foreign affairs by the government in 1991-2000, and finally to the government's response to the people's pursuit of peace in 2001-2011 and the tendency of the ruling means towards peace.
