【摘要】：1654年,23名猶太人來到美洲大陸,猶太人開始了移民美洲的歷程。猶太人在北美定居之后,迅速參與到當(dāng)?shù)氐恼�、�?jīng)濟(jì)和社會(huì)文化生活中去,建立社團(tuán),自身實(shí)力不斷壯大,從一個(gè)無足輕重的小移民群體成長為當(dāng)今美國社會(huì)中的重要力量。 1880年以前,美國猶太移民人數(shù)較少,只有25萬人,主要分布在紐約、紐波特、費(fèi)城等大城市。從1881年開始,東歐掀起大規(guī)模反猶浪潮,大批東歐猶太人涌入美國,美國猶太人口驟增。東歐猶太人移民美國后,多選擇在一些大的工商業(yè)城市定居,紐約更是成為他們的首選居住地。到1921年,紐約已經(jīng)成為世界上最大的猶太移民城市,紐約的猶太社團(tuán)也發(fā)展成為美國最大的猶太社團(tuán)。 1881-1921年間,紐約東歐猶太移民的發(fā)展概況就是猶太移民在美國奮斗發(fā)展史的一個(gè)縮影。東歐猶太人移居美國后,迅速投身到美國的工業(yè)化浪潮中去,在美國的社會(huì)、經(jīng)濟(jì)和文化等領(lǐng)域發(fā)揮著重要作用,尤其在紐約的經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展和城市建設(shè)方面作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。研究紐約東歐猶太移民的生存現(xiàn)狀,不僅有利于我們更清晰全面地認(rèn)識(shí)東歐猶太移民群體在紐約和美國的現(xiàn)代化過程中發(fā)揮的重要作用,還有利于我們認(rèn)識(shí)當(dāng)今美國社會(huì)中猶太人群體行為以及猶太移民與美國社會(huì)之間錯(cuò)綜復(fù)雜的關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:In 1654, 23 Jews came to the American continent, and the Jews began the process of immigrating to America.After settling in North America, Jews quickly took part in the local political, economic and social cultural life, set up associations, and grew from a small group of small immigrants to an important force in American society today.Before 1880, the number of Jewish immigrants in the United States was small, only 250000, mainly in New York, Newport, Philadelphia and other large cities.Since 1881, there has been a massive anti-Semitic wave in Eastern Europe, and a large number of Eastern European Jews have poured into the United States, resulting in a sharp increase in the Jewish population.After emigrating to the United States, Eastern European Jews chose to settle in large industrial and commercial cities, and New York became their preferred residence.By 1921, New York had become the world's largest Jewish immigrant city, and New York's Jewish community had developed into the largest Jewish community in the United States.From 1881 to 1921, the development of Jewish immigrants from New York to Eastern Europe was a microcosm of the history of Jewish immigrants' struggle in the United States.After the Eastern European Jews emigrated to the United States, they quickly plunged into the American industrialization wave and played an important role in the social, economic and cultural fields of the United States, especially in the economic development and urban construction of New York.The study of the existing situation of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe in New York is not only conducive to a clearer and comprehensive understanding of the important role played by the Jewish immigrant community in Eastern Europe in the modernization process of New York and the United States.It also helps us to understand the behavior of Jewish community in American society and the complex relationship between Jewish immigrants and American society.
