【摘要】：本文在城市水平上檢驗(yàn)了大型外資零售商的進(jìn)入對(duì)地區(qū)就業(yè)的影響。使用2000—2006年的城市面板數(shù)據(jù),本文發(fā)現(xiàn)大型零售商在進(jìn)入當(dāng)年對(duì)批發(fā)和零售部門(mén)以及其他相關(guān)部門(mén)的就業(yè)均有顯著的正向影響。然而,對(duì)批發(fā)和零售部門(mén)就業(yè)的影響在隨后的幾年中轉(zhuǎn)為顯著為負(fù),表明可能有小的零售商在大型零售商進(jìn)入后被擠出。使用中國(guó)營(yíng)養(yǎng)與健康調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù)得到的實(shí)證結(jié)果支持了這一解釋。
[Abstract]:This paper examines the impact of the entry of large foreign retailers on regional employment at the urban level using urban panel data from 2000 to 2006. This paper finds that large retailers have a significant positive impact on the employment of wholesale and retail sectors as well as other relevant sectors in the year of entry. The impact on employment in the wholesale and retail sectors turned significantly negative in the following years. This suggests that small retailers may be squeezed out after large retailers enter. Empirical results using data from the China Nutrition and Health Survey support this explanation.
