本研究實(shí)證檢驗(yàn)了岡比亞貨幣政策在控制通貨膨脹方面的有效性。本研究以通貨膨脹為因變量、貨幣供應(yīng)量、利率、匯率和GDP為自變量、用1971-2017年的年度數(shù)據(jù)對(duì)模型、運(yùn)用多元回歸、普通最小二乘法進(jìn)行了貨幣政策工具與通貨膨脹關(guān)系的估計(jì)。根據(jù)這項(xiàng)研究、貨幣供應(yīng)量和利率系數(shù)是正的、但在控制岡比亞通貨膨脹率方面、5%的水平在統(tǒng)計(jì)上沒(méi)有意義、GDP和匯率系數(shù)在5%的水平上也沒(méi)有統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)意義。該研究建議、政策制定者不僅應(yīng)該使用貨幣政策、而且應(yīng)該將貨幣政策與其他非貨幣政策相結(jié)合、以有效控制通貨膨脹。
