基于制度距離視角的中國對外直接投資區(qū)位選擇研究

【摘要】:截止2015年,統(tǒng)計數(shù)據表明中國對外直接投資(OFDI)流量創(chuàng)歷史新高(1456.7億美元),居世界第二位,初次實現(xiàn)了資本凈輸出,我國漸漸由資本引進大國向資本輸出國轉型。但對我國對外投資情況的統(tǒng)計數(shù)據卻表明我國對外投資效率并不高,究其原因之一就是區(qū)位選擇決策有誤,我國對外投資區(qū)位選擇存在盲目扎推的情況。當前學術界從投資動機角度或是單邊制度因素角度對影響我國企業(yè)OFDI區(qū)位選擇的因素進行了較為豐富的研究,但是區(qū)位選擇的影響因素是多方面的,僅從投資動機、或是僅從母國或東道國制度進行分析得到的結果是有偏的。并且現(xiàn)有文獻主要是從宏觀視角探討我國企業(yè)OFDI區(qū)位選擇的影響因素。但是個體微觀企業(yè)與國家宏觀層面的目標并不完全一致,個體微觀企業(yè)的信息特征很容易被宏觀數(shù)據所覆蓋而得不到反映,因此本文以2003-2014年我國企業(yè)對外直接投資數(shù)據,從制度距離的視角對區(qū)位選擇進行綜合分析,制度距離既可以為跨國公司帶來制度優(yōu)勢,也可能產生劣勢,從而促進或者抑制我國企業(yè)對相關國家進行投資。同時還探究了制度距離的方向是否會對區(qū)位選擇有不同影響。通過構建logit模型,本文得到了以下結論:(1)對全樣本來說,不管是正式制度距離還是各維度正式制度距離(政治制度距離、經濟制度距離和法律制度距離)都促進我國企業(yè)OFDI。(2)正式制度距離對我國企業(yè)OFDI區(qū)位選擇的影響存在非對稱效應,即當東道國為發(fā)達國家(地區(qū))時,我國企業(yè)更傾向于投資正式制度距離大的國家(地區(qū)),而當東道國為非發(fā)達國家(地區(qū))時,我國企業(yè)更傾向于向投資正式制度距離小的國家(地區(qū))。(3)非正式距離(文化距離)與區(qū)位選擇呈負相關關系。
[Abstract]:As of 2015, statistics show that China's outward direct investment (OFDI) flow has reached a record high ($145.67 billion, ranking the second in the world), and it has achieved net capital export for the first time. China is gradually transforming from a large capital importing country to a capital exporting country. However, the statistical data of China's foreign investment show that the efficiency of China's foreign investment is not high. One of the reasons is that the decision of location choice is wrong, and the situation of blindly pushing foreign investment location choice exists in our country. The current academic circles have carried on the rich research from the investment motive angle or the unilateral system factor angle to influence our country enterprise OFDI location choice factor, but the location choice influence factor is many, only from the investment motive. Or only from the home country or host country system analysis results are biased. And the existing literature is mainly from the macro perspective to explore the impact factors of OFDI location choice. However, the objectives of individual micro enterprises and national macro level are not exactly the same. The information characteristics of individual micro enterprises are easily covered by macro data and can not be reflected. Therefore, in this paper, we use the data of Chinese enterprises' foreign direct investment (FDI) from 2003 to 2014. From the perspective of institutional distance, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of location choice. Institutional distance can bring both institutional advantages and disadvantages to multinational companies, thus promoting or inhibiting Chinese enterprises to invest in relevant countries. At the same time, it explores whether the direction of institutional distance will have different influence on location choice. By constructing the logit model, the following conclusions are obtained: 1) for the whole sample, whether it is the formal institutional distance or the formal institutional distance (political institutional distance), Economic system distance and legal system distance) both promote the influence of formal institutional distance on OFDI location choice of Chinese enterprises, that is, when the host country is a developed country (region), there is an asymmetric effect on the influence of the formal institutional distance on the location choice of Chinese enterprises, i.e., when the host country is a developed country (region), Chinese enterprises are more inclined to invest in countries (regions) with a long distance from the formal system, and when the host country is a non-developed country (region), Chinese enterprises tend to have a negative correlation between the informal distance (cultural distance) and location choice in countries with small distance from formal investment system.
