美國大學(xué)排名研究及啟示

【摘要】:大學(xué)排名作為高等教育社會評價的主要形式,同時也是高等教育質(zhì)量保障的重要手段。如何通過有效的評估機構(gòu)協(xié)同模式整合社會資源、如何運用科學(xué)合理的指標體系反映高等教育利益相關(guān)者需求、如何利用排名結(jié)果促使高校改進教育質(zhì)量,研究上述問題對進一步完善我國高等教育質(zhì)量保障體系,保障與提高我國高等教育質(zhì)量具有重要意義。我國大學(xué)排名工作在高等教育工作者的努力與有關(guān)部門支持下已取得一定成效,但由于起步較晚,在評估主體合作形式、評價指標科學(xué)性、結(jié)果應(yīng)用有效性等方面存在較大的改進與完善空間。大學(xué)排名起源于美國,作為美國高等教育質(zhì)量保障的重要手段已有30年之久,21世紀以來,美國大學(xué)排名系統(tǒng)日趨成熟。以美國大學(xué)排名為研究對象,進行系統(tǒng)分析、案例研究,有助于深化對美國大學(xué)排名評估主體、指標體系、結(jié)果應(yīng)用等方面的認知,通過比較研究,將有助于我國借鑒國外先進經(jīng)驗,對我國大學(xué)排名工作進行有益的補充,進一步完善具有中國特色的高等教育質(zhì)量保障體系。本文以系統(tǒng)科學(xué)理論為基礎(chǔ),以美國大學(xué)排名為主要研究對象,對具有代表性的三個大學(xué)排名——全美博士點質(zhì)量評估、《美國新聞與世界報道》大學(xué)排名、《華盛頓月刊》大學(xué)排名進行案例研究,從評估主體、指標體系、結(jié)果應(yīng)用三個方面進行深入探析,總結(jié)歸納出美國大學(xué)排名具有多元主體協(xié)同模式、多層次評估指標以及高效結(jié)果應(yīng)用等特點,并以此為基礎(chǔ)進行中美大學(xué)排名對比分析,為我國大學(xué)排名工作提出對策與建議。
[Abstract]:As the main form of social evaluation of higher education, university ranking is also an important means to guarantee the quality of higher education. How to integrate social resources through effective evaluation organization coordination mode, how to use scientific and reasonable index system to reflect the needs of higher education stakeholders, how to use ranking results to promote the improvement of educational quality in colleges and universities, and how to use the index system to reflect the needs of higher education stakeholders. The study of the above problems is of great significance to further improve the quality assurance system of higher education in China and to guarantee and improve the quality of higher education in China. The work of university ranking in our country has achieved some results with the efforts of the higher education workers and the support of the relevant departments. However, due to the late start, the evaluation index is scientific in the form of the evaluation of the main body of cooperation. Results there is much room for improvement and improvement in application effectiveness. University ranking originated in the United States, as an important means of ensuring the quality of higher education in the United States has been 30 years since the 21st century, American university ranking system is becoming more and more mature. Taking the ranking of American universities as the research object, the systematic analysis and case study are helpful to deepen the cognition of the evaluation subject, the index system and the application of the results of the ranking of American universities. It will be helpful for our country to draw lessons from the advanced experience of foreign countries, make a beneficial supplement to the ranking work of universities in our country, and further improve the quality assurance system of higher education with Chinese characteristics. Based on the theory of systems science, this paper takes the ranking of American universities as the main research object. A case study of three representative university rankings-National doctoral quality Assessment, American News and World report rankings, Washington monthly University rankings, from the assessment subjects, the indicator system, Results based on the analysis of three aspects, the author concludes that the ranking of American universities has the characteristics of multi-agent coordination model, multi-level evaluation index and the application of high-efficiency results, and makes a comparative analysis of the ranking of Chinese and American universities on the basis of this. Put forward the countermeasure and suggestion for our country university rank work.
