【摘要】：中國(guó)政府一直通過(guò)名列"政府獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金院校名錄"的高校招收獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金留學(xué)生,近年來(lái)隨著高等教育的快速國(guó)際化和政府加強(qiáng)教育對(duì)外開放工作的力度加大,這一名錄也在不斷地?cái)U(kuò)大�？紤]到留學(xué)生在選擇院校時(shí)存在的信息不對(duì)稱,我們認(rèn)為入選名錄很有可能起到了一個(gè)信號(hào)作用,以幫助留學(xué)生甄別出水平更高的高校。本文建立了一個(gè)基于信息經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)的信號(hào)模型描述這一機(jī)制,利用1999-2013年間628所高校的來(lái)華留學(xué)生數(shù)據(jù),以及雙向固定效應(yīng)模型,估計(jì)入選名錄這一自然實(shí)驗(yàn)對(duì)招收自費(fèi)留學(xué)生的影響,我們發(fā)現(xiàn):入選名錄確實(shí)會(huì)導(dǎo)致相關(guān)院校自費(fèi)留學(xué)生數(shù)量的增加,并且對(duì)非學(xué)歷項(xiàng)目的自費(fèi)留學(xué)生影響更為明顯。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the Chinese government has been recruiting scholarship students from the "list of government scholarship institutions". In recent years, with the rapid internationalization of higher education and the increasing efforts of the government to strengthen education to the outside world, this list is expanding. Considering the information asymmetry in the selection of universities, we recognize that the information is asymmetric. The entry of the list is likely to play a signal role in helping students to identify higher levels of higher education. This paper describes the mechanism based on a signal model based on information economics, using the data from 628 universities in China for 1999-2013 years, and the dual fixed effect model to estimate the nature of the list. The impact of the experiment on the admission of self funded students, we found that the list of selected names will indeed lead to an increase in the number of self-employed foreign students in the relevant colleges and universities, and it has a more obvious impact on the non educated foreign students.
