入學后選專業(yè)有助于提高本科生的專業(yè)興趣嗎——基于配對抽樣和固定效應的實證研究

【摘要】:專業(yè)選擇時機與專業(yè)興趣的關系廣受關注,但是選擇性偏差的存在可能導致研究結論的偏誤,本文以某重點大學入學前選專業(yè)和入學后選專業(yè)的學生為比較對象,通過配對抽樣、固定效應回歸模型和配對固定效應回歸模型的方法,保證項目學生和非項目學生在可觀察和不可觀察特征上的可比性,以克服選擇性偏差問題。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),相比入學前選專業(yè)的學生,那些入學后選專業(yè)的學生在入學后的興趣變化程度更大,對所學專業(yè)的興趣程度更高,但在將來從事與專業(yè)相關工作的意愿上不存在顯著差異。本文的發(fā)現(xiàn)為我國高校入學后選專業(yè)和自由轉(zhuǎn)換專業(yè)的改革方向提供了研究借鑒。
[Abstract]:The relationship between the timing of major selection and professional interest has attracted much attention. However, the existence of selectivity bias may lead to the bias of the research conclusions. This paper focuses on the students who choose major before or after entering a major in a key university. By means of paired sampling, fixed effect regression model and paired fixed effect regression model, the comparability of observable and unobservable characteristics between project students and non-project students is ensured, in order to overcome the problem of selective deviation. Compared with students who chose major before entering school, those who chose major after entering school changed more in interest after entering school and were more interested in their major. However, there is no significant difference in the willingness to engage in major related work in the future. The findings of this paper provide a reference for the reform of major selection and free conversion in Chinese universities.
