【摘要】：亞利桑那州立大學(xué)校長邁克爾·克勞正在創(chuàng)建一所"新美國研究型大學(xué)",該校尋求在更多校區(qū)和學(xué)科中,培養(yǎng)更多類型的學(xué)生。新美國研究型大學(xué)的獨(dú)特之處在于:通過本科生培養(yǎng)規(guī)模的擴(kuò)張,積極拓展科學(xué)研究,促進(jìn)大學(xué)的區(qū)域參與和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)。本研究將對亞利桑那州立大學(xué)、賓夕法尼亞州立大學(xué)、密歇根大學(xué)三所大學(xué)的科研機(jī)構(gòu)的組織策略差異展開比較研究。亞利桑那州立大學(xué)將院系重組為跨學(xué)科組織,有效地減少將學(xué)生置于某些特定學(xué)科中訓(xùn)練的培養(yǎng)模式,并投資創(chuàng)建了獨(dú)立的生命設(shè)計(jì)研究所。賓夕法尼亞州立大學(xué)在保留傳統(tǒng)學(xué)科院系作為教學(xué)科研基本組織的基礎(chǔ)上,設(shè)立了多所跨學(xué)科的科研機(jī)構(gòu),開展更為聚焦和有效的學(xué)術(shù)研究。密歇根大學(xué)正如其前校長詹姆士·杜德施塔特所闡釋的,提出了成為全國性大學(xué)、甚至世界性大學(xué)的發(fā)展藍(lán)圖。該校的科研活動(dòng)主要在隸屬于學(xué)科院系的研究中心或科研院所中推進(jìn)。通過比較不同科研組織模式,可為探究研究型大學(xué)的學(xué)術(shù)核心、尤其是思考傳統(tǒng)學(xué)科院系和科研機(jī)構(gòu)之間的關(guān)系提供重要啟示。
[Abstract]:Arizona State University President Michael Klau is to create a "new university", the school seeks in the campus and more subjects, training more types of students. Unique university new American research lies in: through the expansion of the scale of undergraduate training, and actively expand scientific research, promote regional economic development and contribution in the University of this study. Of Arizona State University, Penn State University, comparative research organization strategy difference of three scientific research institutions at University of Michigan. Arizona State University faculty reorganized into interdisciplinary organization, effectively reduce the training mode of training students in certain disciplines, and research investment to create a life design independent. Penn State University in traditional faculties as basic the organization of teaching and research, design The establishment of many interdisciplinary scientific research institutions, to carry out more research focused and effective. The former president of University of Michigan as James Dudestadt explains, is proposed as a National University, the blueprint for the development of even the world of the University. The school's research activities mainly in belonging to the discipline of College Research center or scientific research institute forward. Through comparison of different research organization model, to explore the research university academic core, especially to provide important enlightenment thinking about the relationship between the traditional departments and research institutions.
