本次翻譯實踐的原文節(jié)選自《食用清潔蛋白質(zhì):重塑身材、激發(fā)能量和拯救星球的革命》（Clean Protein:The Revolution That Will Reshape Your Body,Boost Your Energy--and Save Our Planet）的前四章,主要澄清了大眾對蛋白質(zhì)的誤解,指出人們對動物蛋白的迷戀不僅危及自身健康,而且還造成嚴重的環(huán)境問題,最后還探討了動物蛋白何以成為大眾餐桌不可或缺的食物。本書旨在顛覆人們對蛋白質(zhì)的認知,以幫助大眾對其形成全新正確的理解。本文以卡特福德的翻譯等值相關理論為指導,探討譯者如何將其理論運用到翻譯實踐中,分析在翻譯過程中遇到的翻譯難點并指出相應的解決辦法。針對形容詞的翻譯,譯者采用了詞類轉(zhuǎn)換和引申的翻譯方法;針對術語的翻譯,譯者采用了選詞和形象轉(zhuǎn)換的翻譯方法。最后,譯者總結(jié)了本次翻譯實踐的經(jīng)驗,并指出尚未解決的問題。
