經(jīng)濟轉(zhuǎn)型期中國汽車行業(yè)高層管理團隊與戰(zhàn)略選擇的匹配研究

【摘要】:汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)因其市場關(guān)聯(lián)度高、產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈長、涉及行業(yè)范圍廣以及消費需求拉動大等特點,對我國經(jīng)濟發(fā)展起著舉足輕重的作用。改革開放35年來,我國汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)得到了快速發(fā)展,目前已成為世界第一汽車生產(chǎn)大國,F(xiàn)階段我國仍處于經(jīng)濟轉(zhuǎn)型期,汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)也在加快產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)調(diào)整的步伐。隨著汽車企業(yè)面臨的外部環(huán)境日益復(fù)雜化,僅憑CEO個人已經(jīng)無法做出準(zhǔn)確的決策了,越來越多的企業(yè)開始關(guān)注高層管理團隊這個特殊的群體。高層管理團隊作為企業(yè)戰(zhàn)略的制定者,在很大程度上決定著企業(yè)未來的發(fā)展方向。然而,企業(yè)應(yīng)當(dāng)構(gòu)建什么樣的高層管理團隊才能充分發(fā)揮其最大效能,以適應(yīng)企業(yè)發(fā)展的需要呢。也就是說,企業(yè)高層管理團隊與戰(zhàn)略選擇之間具有什么樣的關(guān)系呢,顯然這是一個值得深入研究的課題。 本文基于高層梯隊理論和戰(zhàn)略選擇理論,同時結(jié)合我國仍處在經(jīng)濟轉(zhuǎn)型期這個大的宏觀背景,選取汽車行業(yè)作為研究對象,通過構(gòu)建多類別Logit回歸模型,來探究我國汽車行業(yè)上市公司的戰(zhàn)略選擇與高層管理團隊特征的匹配關(guān)系。 本文的主要內(nèi)容分為五部分:第1章引言,探討了選題的背景、意義、思路和方法以及可能的創(chuàng)新點;第2章相關(guān)理論綜述和研究假設(shè),主要梳理了國內(nèi)外有關(guān)高層管理團隊特征與企業(yè)戰(zhàn)略選擇關(guān)系的研究以及我國汽車行業(yè)的戰(zhàn)略選擇,并在此基礎(chǔ)上提出本文的研究假設(shè);第3章研究設(shè)計,詳細介紹了樣本的選取,自變量、因變量和控制變量的定義、分類及測量方法,模型的構(gòu)建等內(nèi)容;第4章研究結(jié)果,主要是對自變量和因變量的描述性統(tǒng)計,多類別Logit回歸結(jié)果的說明等;第5章結(jié)論與展望,基于第四章的回歸結(jié)果,進一步分析與討論,同時指出本研究的不足和今后研究的方向。 通過實證分析,假設(shè)2和6得到了部分驗證,假設(shè)5沒有通過顯著性檢驗,其他假設(shè)都得到了驗證。本文最終得出如下結(jié)論: 第一,高層管理團隊成員的平均年齡越大,管理者在進行戰(zhàn)略決策時更愿意選擇相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略、產(chǎn)品開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略和市場開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略,而平均年齡越小的高管團隊越傾向于采用非相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略和橫向一體化戰(zhàn)略;第二,高層管理團隊的平均規(guī)模越大,越傾向于選擇市場開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略、產(chǎn)品開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略、相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略,平均規(guī)模越小則更偏向于采用橫向一體化戰(zhàn)略和非相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略;第三,高層管理團隊的平均教育水平越高,管理者越偏好市場開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略、橫向—體化戰(zhàn)略和非相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略,平均教育水平越低則越傾向于采用縱向一體化戰(zhàn)略、產(chǎn)品開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略和相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略;第四,高層管理團隊的年齡異質(zhì)性越大,管理者在制定戰(zhàn)略時偏向于按產(chǎn)品開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略、非相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略、縱向一體化戰(zhàn)略、橫向一體化戰(zhàn)略、相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略以及市場開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略的順序來選擇;年齡異質(zhì)性越小的高管團隊則按相反的順序選擇;第五,在一定范圍內(nèi)高層管理團隊的職業(yè)背景異質(zhì)性越高,越傾向于采用一體化戰(zhàn)略和非相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略,而職業(yè)背景異質(zhì)性越低的高管團隊更愿意選擇相關(guān)多元化戰(zhàn)略、市場開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略.和產(chǎn)品開發(fā)戰(zhàn)略。 基于以上分析,本文可能的創(chuàng)新點有:(1)從樣本選取來看,國內(nèi)外很少選取單個行業(yè)研究,而本文選取中國汽車行業(yè)作為研究對象,使得研究結(jié)論更有針對性和實踐性;(2)從研究方法上看,本文選取汽車行業(yè)上市公司連續(xù)4屆(12年)高層管理團隊與戰(zhàn)略選擇的相關(guān)數(shù)據(jù),通過構(gòu)建多類別Logit回歸方程來檢驗兩者之間的相關(guān)關(guān)系,這在相關(guān)研究中也屬少見;(3)從研究結(jié)果上看,我國汽車行業(yè)高層管理團隊職業(yè)背景異質(zhì)性與企業(yè)戰(zhàn)略選擇之間并不是普通的線性關(guān)系,而是“n”關(guān)系。這不僅修正和補充了部分現(xiàn)有結(jié)論,同時也證明了分行業(yè)研究的必要性。 同時本文也存在一定的局限,主要體現(xiàn)在:首先,從樣本數(shù)量上看,經(jīng)過篩選以后符合要求的僅有48家,有效樣本總數(shù)為192個,可見樣本量較少;其次,從變量的選取看,本文僅僅考慮了學(xué)術(shù)界常用的高層管理團隊特征,而且對于因變量和控制變量的選取還存在不完善的地方;最后,從研究視角上看,還需借鑒國外經(jīng)驗從不同的視角來檢驗高層管理團隊與戰(zhàn)略選擇之間的相關(guān)關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:The automobile industry has played an important role in China ' s economic development because of its high correlation degree , long industrial chain , wide range of industry and large consumption demand . In the past 35 years , China ' s auto industry has been developing rapidly .
Based on the theory of high - rise echelon theory and strategic choice theory , this paper selects the auto industry as the research object , and explores the matching relationship between strategic choice of listed companies in China ' s auto industry and the characteristics of high - level management team by constructing multi - category Logit regression model .
The main contents of this paper are divided into five parts : the introduction of chapter 1 , the background , significance , thinking and method of the selection , and possible innovation points ;
Chapter 2 summarizes the relevant theoretical reviews and research assumptions , and mainly sorts out the research on the relationship between the characteristics of senior management team at home and abroad and the strategic choice of enterprises , as well as the strategic choice of the automobile industry in our country , and puts forward the research assumptions on this basis .
Chapter 3 studies the design , details the selection of sample , the definition , classification and measurement method of the independent variables , the dependent variables and the control variables , the construction of the model and so on ;
The results of chapter 4 are mainly descriptive statistics of independent variables and dependent variables , description of multi - category Logit regression results , etc .
Chapter 5 conclusions and prospects , based on the regression results of chapter 4 , further analysis and discussion , at the same time point out the shortcomings of this study and the direction of future research .
Based on the empirical analysis , it is assumed that 2 and 6 are partially verified , assuming that 5 has not passed the significance test , and other assumptions are verified . The following conclusions are finally obtained :
First , the larger the average age of senior management team members , managers are more willing to choose relevant diversification strategy , product development strategy and market development strategy when making strategic decision - making , and the more senior management team with smaller average age tends to adopt non - related diversification strategy and horizontal integration strategy ;
Second , the larger the average size of the senior management team , the more inclined to choose the market development strategy , the product development strategy , the related diversification strategy , the smaller the average scale , the smaller the average scale is to adopt the horizontal integration strategy and the non - related diversification strategy ;
Thirdly , the higher the average education level of the senior management team , the more the managers prefer the market development strategy , the horizontal - mainstreaming strategy and the non - related diversification strategy , the lower the average education level , the more inclined to adopt the vertical integration strategy , the product development strategy and the related diversification strategy ;
Fourthly , the greater the age heterogeneity of the senior management team , the managers tend to choose from the strategies of product development strategy , non - related diversification strategy , vertical integration strategy , horizontal integration strategy , related diversification strategy and market development strategy .
The smaller the age heterogeneity , the smaller the executive team chose in the opposite order ;
Fifth , the higher the occupational background heterogeneity of the senior management team within a certain range , the more inclined to adopt the integrated strategy and the non - related diversification strategy , the lower the heterogeneity of the professional background is willing to choose the relevant diversification strategy , the market development strategy and the product development strategy .
Based on the above analysis , the possible innovations in this paper include : ( 1 ) selecting a single industry research at home and abroad from the sample selection , and selecting the Chinese automobile industry as the research object , so that the research conclusion is more focused and practical ;
( 2 ) From the research method , this paper selects the relevant data of the senior management team and strategy choice for the four consecutive ( 12 years ) senior management team of the auto industry listed company , and verifies the correlation between them by constructing the multi - category Logit regression equation , which is rare in the related research ;
( 3 ) On the basis of the research results , there is not a general linear relationship between the occupational background heterogeneity and strategic choice of the senior management team in the auto industry in our country , but the relationship of " n " is not only correct and supplemented , but also the necessity of research in branch industry is also proved .
At the same time , there are some limitations in this paper , which are mainly embodied in the following : First , only 48 of the samples are satisfied after screening , the total number of valid samples is 192 , and the number of visible samples is less ;
Secondly , from the selection of variables , this paper only takes into account the characteristics of high - level management team which is commonly used in academic circles , but also has imperfect places for the selection of dependent variables and control variables ;
Finally , from the perspective of research , it is also necessary to use the experience of foreign countries to examine the relationship between senior management team and strategic choice from different perspectives .
