[Abstract]:Handicraft industry is a small scale industry and service industry which mainly rely on manual labor and use simple tools. It is a concept opposite to large machine industry. Since ancient times, handicraft industry has been closely related to the life of Chinese people, and has played an important role in the active social economy of urban and rural areas. After modern times, with the start and promotion of national industrialization, handicraft industry has experienced self-innovation and become a necessary supplement to the big machine industry. As early as the period of the democratic revolution, the Communist Party of China had already organized handwork.
