面對(duì)資金約束時(shí)的最優(yōu)研發(fā)與生產(chǎn)聯(lián)合決策

【摘要】:文章研究了一個(gè)風(fēng)險(xiǎn)中性的制造商在面對(duì)資金約束時(shí)如何聯(lián)合制定最優(yōu)生產(chǎn)與最優(yōu)研發(fā)投資決策,討論了制造商在降低生產(chǎn)成本與提高產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量這兩種類(lèi)型研發(fā)活動(dòng)之間的偏好,并拓展考慮了研發(fā)不確定性和市場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)因素的影響。結(jié)果表明:第一,存在資金約束的制造商在同時(shí)面臨生產(chǎn)與研發(fā)投資決策時(shí),沒(méi)有動(dòng)機(jī)同時(shí)進(jìn)行兩種研發(fā)活動(dòng)的投資。第二,制造商的研發(fā)投資可以看做是一種"全投資或全不投資"的策略。第三,研發(fā)活動(dòng)的不確定性提高了制造商選擇提高產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量研發(fā)活動(dòng)的動(dòng)機(jī),降低了制造商選擇降低生產(chǎn)成本研發(fā)活動(dòng)的動(dòng)機(jī)。第四,當(dāng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手與制造商的實(shí)力相當(dāng)或更強(qiáng)時(shí),制造商傾向于降低生產(chǎn)成本的研發(fā)活動(dòng),同時(shí)也降低了制造商研發(fā)活動(dòng)投資的動(dòng)機(jī)。而當(dāng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手與制造商的實(shí)力足夠弱時(shí),市場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的存在可以刺激制造商的研發(fā)行為。
[Abstract]:This paper studies how a risk neutral manufacturer jointly formulating the optimal production and optimal R & D investment decisions in the face of capital constraints, and discusses the preference of the manufacturers in the two types of R & D activities in reducing production costs and improving product quality, and expands the impact of uncertainty and market competition factors. The results show that: first, when the manufacturers are faced with the investment decision of production and R & D, the manufacturers have no motivation to invest in two kinds of R & D activities at the same time. Second, the manufacturer's R & D investment can be regarded as a "full investment or no investment" strategy. Third, the uncertainty of R & D activity improves the manufacturer's choice. The motivation of high product quality research and development activities reduces the motivation for manufacturers to choose to reduce production cost R & D activities. Fourth, when competitors and manufacturers are equal or stronger, manufacturers tend to reduce R & D activities of production costs and reduce the motivation of manufacturers to invest in research and development activities. When the strength of business is weak enough, the existence of market competition can stimulate manufacturers' R & D behavior.
