[Abstract]:On November 27th, the European Union's committee responsible for pesticide safety approval voted 18 countries in favour of nine against one abstention and finally approved a five-year extension of glyphosate, which expires on December 15. The debate over whether glyphosate is carcinogenic and safe comes to an end in the EU, which has been arguing for months before the vote on the 27th. Britain, the Netherlands and other countries supported a 10-year extension of glyphosate, while France and Italy firmly opposed it until it was expelled from the EU pesticide market. Glyphosate finally made it through the European Union, thanks to Germany's last-minute "defection" vote.
