中國加入WTO之后,在國際貿(mào)易和商務(wù)中獲得了更多的機遇。國際商務(wù)合同因此得到更頻繁的應(yīng)用,與此同時,高質(zhì)量的合同翻譯也獲得更大的需求。然而合同翻譯對譯者而言是一個巨大的挑戰(zhàn),因為合同作為一種法律文書在語言、結(jié)構(gòu)和文體風(fēng)格上都具有鮮明的特點,特別是中英文合同在語言和結(jié)構(gòu)上具有很大的差異。譯者應(yīng)該在合同譯文中準確充分地傳達原合同的意義并且要保證譯文的語言地道以體現(xiàn)譯文合同自身的特點。但想做到這一點并非易事,因此尋找一種能指導(dǎo)合同翻譯的翻譯理論則顯得非常必要。 釋意派翻譯理論不失為一個好的選擇。釋意理論認為譯文應(yīng)取得意義對等。此處所說的意義對等是就篇章層次上而言的。為達到此目的,釋意理論提出了一個分三步走的翻譯步驟:1.理解;2.脫離原語言外殼;3.表達。除意義對等標(biāo)準外,該理論還提出譯文應(yīng)在語言特點、結(jié)構(gòu)和文體風(fēng)格上與原文保持一種相似性。對于譯文而言,意義對等總是第一位的,其次才是形式上的相似。通過對合同譯文應(yīng)達到的要求和釋意派翻譯理論所主張的翻譯標(biāo)準的比較,我們不難發(fā)現(xiàn)釋意派翻譯理論正是我們所需要的能指導(dǎo)合同翻譯的理論。 本文試圖研究釋意派翻譯理論在指導(dǎo)合同翻譯實踐中的適用性...
