以善說性抑或以性說善——孟子性善說新解

【摘要】:孟子的性善說并非“以善說性”,亦即對(duì)人性的全部內(nèi)容作價(jià)值性的評(píng)判,而是“以性說善”,亦即說明本真性的善的可能性條件。孟子性善說的基本意涵可作如下詮釋:源于人性的四端之心,先天本具為善的充足能力;作為情感與理性的內(nèi)在統(tǒng)一,在本真的狀態(tài)下,四端之心之為善能力的發(fā)用具有自發(fā)性和直接性。換言之,作為道德主體的四端之心的為善不涉任何功利性的考量,同時(shí)四端之心也不以任何外在的規(guī)范作為道德實(shí)踐的準(zhǔn)則,毋寧說,四端之心本身即是善的“決定因”。以上可說是對(duì)孟子性善義較為完整的揭示。
[Abstract]:Mencius' theory of sexual goodness is not to judge the whole content of human nature by virtue, but to say good by nature, that is to say, the possibility of explaining the goodness of true nature. The basic meaning of Mencius' theory of sexual goodness can be explained as follows: it originates from the four ends of human nature and has the sufficient ability to be good; as the inner unity of emotion and reason, it is in the true state. The four ends of the mind for the development of good power has spontaneity and directness. In other words, the mind of the four ends of the moral subject does not involve any utilitarian consideration, and the mind of the four ends does not take any external norms as the criterion of moral practice, rather, the mind of the four ends itself is the "determinant cause" of the good. The above can be said to be a relatively complete disclosure of Mencius' nature and good meaning.
