[Abstract]:The application of positive noninvasive ventilation (NIV) in acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), acute cardiogenic pulmonary edema and acute lung injury / acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) has been widely used in clinical practice (1). It has also been proved that it can reduce tracheal intubation rate, length of stay in intensive care unit (ICU), length of stay and mortality (2) since NIV was used to treat acute respiratory failure in 1989. It has gradually expanded from its application in ICU to general wards, to the fact that patients with various diseases now use family respirators, from which various degrees of success have been obtained.
