文學(xué)研究不能脫離揭示語言表現(xiàn)手段的語言學(xué),語言學(xué)研究也離不開經(jīng)過高度提煉加工的文學(xué)。如果把語言學(xué)和文學(xué)研究結(jié)合起來,就能更好地抓住文學(xué)交流的本質(zhì)。《傲慢與偏見》是簡·奧斯丁的代表作之一,小說中含有大量的生活對話,本文嘗試從語用學(xué)的角度入手,詳細剖析《傲慢與偏見》里豐富的會話含義。 縱觀浩瀚繁雜的奧斯丁的研究,研究者們似乎習(xí)慣將目光聚焦在其作品的思想性、文學(xué)性方面。有關(guān)奧斯丁作品的語言藝術(shù)研究確實不多,本文回顧了19世紀和現(xiàn)當(dāng)代關(guān)于簡·奧斯丁和《傲慢與偏見》的文學(xué)研究和批評,發(fā)掘出運用語用學(xué)理論分析《傲慢與偏見》里的會話含義的可行性和必要性。本文使用的語用學(xué)理論是Grice的合作原則和會話準則,Brown和Levinson的禮貌原則。本文對這些理論進行了闡述,并解釋了它們之間的關(guān)系,為分析會話含義和間接表達提供了清晰的理論框架和研究工具。關(guān)于會話含義的可理解性也有所涉及。 簡·奧斯丁擅長描寫人物對話,本文從《傲慢與偏見》里精選了大量典型的對話,運用合作原則與禮貌原則對其會話含義進行詳細剖析。根據(jù)間接禮貌策略在語言形式上的實現(xiàn)方式,這些對話被明確歸類進行比較分析。小說人物經(jīng)常違背合作...
