本文以勞倫斯的中篇小說《處女與吉普賽人》為文本,深入剖析維多利亞時期遺留的男權(quán)思想對女性的束縛,運用女性主義理論及弗洛伊德心理分析探討小說中主要人物不同表現(xiàn)的深層原因,體現(xiàn)了勞倫斯在作品中最終追求兩性平衡的思想。 戴維·赫伯特·勞倫斯被公認為是20世紀英國文學(xué)史上最偉大、最有爭議的作家之一。他以獨特的視角和心理描寫見長,專注于刻畫人物的精神世界,極力反對資本主義制度對人類原始欲望和本能的壓抑,手法大膽地歌頌兩性肉體之愛,在他看來,和諧的兩性關(guān)系是維系幸福婚姻的基礎(chǔ),這一思想在當(dāng)時是極大的突破,尤令統(tǒng)治階級難以接受。因此被誤認為“色情作家”而備受爭議,作品長期遭禁。我國直至改革開放后才開始大量引入勞倫斯的作品,將“勞倫斯熱”推向高潮。時至今日,“勞倫斯熱”仍在世界各地不斷升溫。 《處女與吉普賽人》是勞倫斯獻給妻子弗里達的作品,與有濃重自傳色彩的小說《兒子與情人》一樣,相當(dāng)一部分情節(jié)以弗里達前夫的真實家庭生活為藍本,人物以她與前夫所生子女為原型,是勞倫斯中篇小說中的重要代表,被稱為迷你版的《查泰萊夫人的情人》。它主題明確,矛盾突出,結(jié)構(gòu)緊湊,因此對勞倫斯本人及其作品研究都具有重要意義。小說...
