　　哈羅德·品特是聞名世界的戲劇家,他獨特的戲劇風格使他榮獲了2005年度諾貝爾文學獎。他的戲劇通常是在一個封閉的房間里,通過人物之間日常生活閑談,反映密閉的房間里潛在的神秘威脅性。品特戲劇中的人物將語言視為武器,用語言來爭取權利和身份的認同。品特曾經(jīng)說過“語言是一種十分含混的東西。常常在被言說的詞語下面,有著言猶未明的東西�！逼诽乩谜Z言這個特殊的工具,生動的表現(xiàn)了言語下面隱藏的人物之間的權勢關系和潛在的威脅性。語言可以改變?nèi)宋锏年P系;同時也能重新建立身份。品特是一位善于運用語言的大師。本文進行的是跨學科的研究,利用語用學的關聯(lián)理論對文學作品進行分析,希望語言學可以更好的為文學解讀服務,在了解人物對話的語境和推理等的前提下,更好的實現(xiàn)交際。本文是以品特早期的代表作之一的獨幕劇《沉默侍者》為藍本,運用關聯(lián)理論研究其語言特征和主題。本文一共分為四個部分:第一章是對關聯(lián)理論的概述,包括以下三個部分:關聯(lián)理論和交際,關聯(lián)理論的基本概念認知語境和互明,交際的“明示--推理”模式,關聯(lián)性以及關聯(lián)理論在文學作品中的作用。第二章是將關聯(lián)理論應用于品特的戲劇作品《沉默侍者》,主要對作品的語言特征從關聯(lián)理論...
