論托妮·莫里森《上帝幫助孩子》中的后現(xiàn)代敘事技巧

美國非裔女作家托妮·莫里森是當(dāng)代杰出的后現(xiàn)代主義小說家。莫里森的成功離不開她高超的后現(xiàn)代敘事藝術(shù)。在她最新的作品《上帝幫助孩子》中,莫里森也巧妙地運用了后現(xiàn)代敘事技巧。鑒于目前關(guān)于《上帝幫助孩子》的研究的廣度和深度明顯不足,本文試圖從后現(xiàn)代敘事的角度來分析小說中的后現(xiàn)代敘事技巧:碎片化、多重敘事視角以及不確定性。通過本研究,得出以下三個結(jié)論:(1)小說中的碎片化表現(xiàn)為章節(jié)之間的碎片化以及同一章節(jié)中的碎片化,這不僅能設(shè)置懸念,促使讀者參與小說的建構(gòu),而且還能更好地契合主題,有助于塑造小說中人物的形象;(2)多重敘事視角的運用可以更全面地描述故事,從不同角度呈現(xiàn)事件,有助于塑造人物形象,挖掘人物的內(nèi)心想法,而且第一人稱與第三人稱的交替敘述打破了小說的連貫性,揭示了小說的虛構(gòu)性、現(xiàn)實的復(fù)雜性以及一些社會問題;(3)小說中的不確定性具體表現(xiàn)為人物的不確定性和開放式結(jié)尾,這給讀者留下了足夠的想象空間,吸引了讀者的注意力,促使讀者以積極、創(chuàng)造性的態(tài)度參與故事的建構(gòu)。本文從后現(xiàn)代敘事的角度分析說明了《上帝幫助孩子》中的碎片化、多重敘事視角、不確定性這三個后現(xiàn)代敘事技巧的具體運用及其意義,使讀者能夠?qū)?..
