　　美國作家哈珀·李,于1926年出生于美國南方阿拉巴馬洲的一個小鎮(zhèn)。1960年,她發(fā)表的一部長篇小說《殺死一只知更鳥》正式出版并迅速聞名于世,她還因此在同年獲得普利策獎。在種族歧視問題被寫入憲法不久的背景下,該小說以一個六歲的女孩斯科特為視角,李利用敘述的形式描繪了梅科姆鎮(zhèn)上的居民面對種族問題的不同態(tài)度。作者試圖通過該篇小說中解釋和抨擊的梅科姆鎮(zhèn)上多數(shù)白人身上仍舊存在的種族歧視觀念來探尋李對種族問題的態(tài)度,并分析了李在作品中試圖將阿蒂克斯一家打造成白人救世主形象、強烈呼吁人們像阿蒂克斯一樣公平公正的觀點。但在這過程中,作者發(fā)現(xiàn)李作為一名白人作家很難毫無偏見地面對種族問題,在一些事件的敘述中難以避免的出現(xiàn)了種族歧視的痕跡。備受期待的哈珀·李新作——《設立守望者》于2015年在美出版。這篇小說被譽為《殺死一只知更鳥》的續(xù)集,已經(jīng)出版便榮登亞馬遜熱賣圖書榜。其實,哈珀·李早在20世紀50年代便完成了《設立守望者》一書的創(chuàng)作。作者根據(jù)該部小說美國南方緊張民權形勢的創(chuàng)作背景和斯科特與梅科姆鎮(zhèn)居民觀念沖突的創(chuàng)作主線,探尋李在這部小說中表現(xiàn)出的對種族問題的態(tài)度。通過分析小說中主人公面對質疑時的堅定、面...
