反抗還是和解:奧登詩(shī)歌的美學(xué)救贖

威斯坦·休·奧登(1907-1973),英美詩(shī)壇名家,被公認(rèn)為20世紀(jì)繼葉芝和艾略特之后最偉大的英語(yǔ)詩(shī)人之一。奧登以匠心獨(dú)運(yùn)的頭韻、一絲不茍的詩(shī)篇和信手拈來(lái)的典故而著稱。在過(guò)去的幾十年里,關(guān)于奧登詩(shī)歌的研究大都是從傳記、影響、藝術(shù)特色、倫理和宗教等角度出發(fā)。本論文擬以法蘭克福學(xué)派有關(guān)美學(xué)救贖的觀點(diǎn)為切入點(diǎn),以期對(duì)奧登不同歷史時(shí)期的典型作品一種新的詮釋方式。本文擬從奧登前期詩(shī)歌所體現(xiàn)的對(duì)現(xiàn)代化侵蝕下的社會(huì)異化、個(gè)體迷失、道德窘境的智性反抗和后期對(duì)宗教和自然的肯定的美學(xué)和解兩個(gè)維度,解讀奧登詩(shī)歌所蘊(yùn)含的社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)、倫理反思和詩(shī)性審美。結(jié)合奧登的文學(xué)觀,本論文認(rèn)為,奧登用詩(shī)歌的形式探討了文學(xué)與文化,歷史的關(guān)系,詩(shī)的本源、生命力和獨(dú)立品格,闡明了詩(shī)的無(wú)用之用。在奧登看來(lái),一方面,藝術(shù)不是魔術(shù),而是對(duì)真理負(fù)責(zé)的知識(shí)的游戲;另一方面,詩(shī)歌不會(huì)使任何事發(fā)生,它是一種發(fā)生的方式,奧登從中可以發(fā)展出自己的語(yǔ)言模式。他的詩(shī)歌致力于對(duì)現(xiàn)代主義審美體驗(yàn)的祛魅。
