數(shù)十年來(lái),隱喻研究逐漸進(jìn)入了繁榮發(fā)展期。在傳統(tǒng)意義上,隱喻研究局限在修辭層和語(yǔ)言層。近二十年來(lái),隱喻研究在認(rèn)知科學(xué)領(lǐng)域得到顯著發(fā)展。Lakoff和Johnson（1980）提出著名的概念隱喻理論,進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化了隱喻研究的認(rèn)知傾向。他們認(rèn)為人們依靠隱喻感知外部世界,隱喻在人們的思想以及行為方式中扮演著重要角色。概念隱喻具有系統(tǒng)性和連貫性。正是因?yàn)檫@些特性,人們的隱喻語(yǔ)言表述才能呈現(xiàn)出系統(tǒng)和連貫的特征。已有學(xué)者諸如Goatly（1997,2000）,馮（2004）對(duì)概念隱喻在實(shí)現(xiàn)語(yǔ)義連貫方面進(jìn)行過(guò)研究。然而鮮有研究證明其在具體語(yǔ)篇中的連貫功能,尤其以純英語(yǔ)文學(xué)語(yǔ)篇為語(yǔ)料進(jìn)行的研究還不多。因此,本文以經(jīng)典英文小說(shuō)《德伯家的苔絲》中的概念隱喻為語(yǔ)料,旨在研究概念隱喻的語(yǔ)篇連貫作用。本研究以Pragglejaz Group（2007）提出的隱喻識(shí)別方法為依據(jù),從小說(shuō)文本中共選取1018個(gè)概念隱喻,并將其劃分歸類為實(shí)體隱喻,方位隱喻和結(jié)構(gòu)隱喻�；诟拍铍[喻理論,研究結(jié)果如下:其一,《德伯家的苔絲》中大量運(yùn)用了上述三種隱喻,其中實(shí)體隱喻出現(xiàn)頻次最高。其二,概念隱喻的系統(tǒng)性能構(gòu)建局部連貫,即源域和目標(biāo)域...
