詹姆斯·費倫敘事倫理視角下《欲望三部曲》的研究

西奧多·德萊塞（Theodore Dreiser,1871—1945）是美國二十世紀一位杰出的自然主義文學巨匠,他既是美國文壇的開拓者又是創(chuàng)新者,他的作品以寫實而著稱,并以大膽而誠實的筆觸還原了美國社會的本來面目。縱觀德萊塞的整個文學創(chuàng)作,我們不難發(fā)現(xiàn)倫理問題一直是其作品關(guān)注的焦點,同時也深化了其作品的主題,因而將德萊塞的作品視為文學試驗場來探討其中的倫理問題有著不可忽視的文學價值�！队壳芬允攀兰o末芝加哥鐵路大亨查爾斯·基耶斯的生平為原型創(chuàng)作而成,是德萊塞的代表作之一,全篇共包括三卷,以其主人公法蘭克·阿吉龍·柯帕烏傳奇般的發(fā)家史以及幾乎與之并行的情愛史為主線大膽地揭露了十九世紀末二十世紀初處于轉(zhuǎn)型期的美國社會的方方面面,其中也散布了德萊塞關(guān)于社會轉(zhuǎn)型期所浮現(xiàn)的倫理道德問題的思考。誠然,對于《欲望三部曲》中的倫理問題國內(nèi)外已有學者做出過研究,然而本文是立足于一個新的角度,以詹姆斯·費倫的敘事倫理為理論基礎(chǔ),從《欲望三部曲》中節(jié)選三個與主題相關(guān)的問題進行倫理探討,即探索敘事文本中各方的倫理是如何在敘事過程中建構(gòu)起來的,以此來為德萊塞作品的研究提供一個新的視角,并借此揭示德萊塞作...
