19世紀(jì)地質(zhì)學(xué)對哈代小說創(chuàng)作的影響

【摘要】：從19世紀(jì)地質(zhì)學(xué)蓬勃發(fā)展這一歷史文化語境入手,探索19世紀(jì)掀起的地質(zhì)學(xué)熱潮對哈代小說創(chuàng)作的影響,這種影響最初直接而集中地體現(xiàn)在哈代早期創(chuàng)作的小說《一雙藍(lán)眼睛》中,代表著當(dāng)時最新地質(zhì)學(xué)發(fā)現(xiàn)的古生物化石及生物演化史在小說中均有直接的描述,小說人物的地質(zhì)考察和化石采集活動也成為小說主題表達(dá)的重要基礎(chǔ)。后來的《還鄉(xiāng)》、《卡斯特橋市長》、《苔絲》等小說中,地質(zhì)學(xué)的影響則主要以切入地層似的穿透性視角和地質(zhì)隱喻等形式間接地表現(xiàn)出來。這種影響使哈代小說具有濃郁的歷史意蘊(yùn)和地域特色。了解19世紀(jì)地質(zhì)學(xué)對哈代小說創(chuàng)作的影響,能更好地認(rèn)識和厘清哈代的創(chuàng)作與其時代社會文化語境的關(guān)系。
[Abstract]:Starting from the historical and cultural context of the vigorous development of geology in the 19th century, this paper explores the influence of the geological boom on Hardy's novel creation in the 19th century. This influence was initially directly and concentrated in Hardy's early novel A pair of Blue eyes, which represents the direct description of the paleontological fossils and biological evolution history discovered in the latest geology at that time. The geological investigation and fossil collection of the characters in the novel have also become an important basis for the theme expression of the novel. In later novels such as returning to hometown, Mayor of Casterbridge, Tess and so on, the influence of geology is mainly expressed indirectly in the form of penetrating perspective and geological metaphor. This influence makes Hardy's novels have rich historical meaning and regional characteristics. Understanding the influence of geology on Hardy's novels in the 19th century can better understand and clarify the relationship between Hardy's creation and the social and cultural context of Hardy's times.
