[Abstract]:Zhengo Henry's works are ingenious in conception, unique in style, humorous in language and profound in meaning. With simple and direct words, the novel tells the story of the old painter Berman who gave up his own life to save others, and let the reader feel the greatness of love and the strength of life. This paper will use the theory of systemic functional grammar to interpret the novel in detail from the aspects of language structure, mood system, and transitivity structure, so as to find out the relationship between language, context and theme, so as to help readers more.
