【摘要】：美國(guó)著名華裔女作家譚恩美出生并且成長(zhǎng)于美國(guó)。1989年譚恩美出版了她的第一部小說《喜福會(huì)》,小說在美國(guó)引起強(qiáng)烈反響,并且高居《紐約時(shí)報(bào)》的暢銷書的排行榜榜首。2013年,譚恩美出版了最新的一部小說《驚奇山谷》,這部小說引起了世界的廣泛關(guān)注。作為一名華裔女作家,譚恩美的雙重身份一直影響著她的寫作生涯。她的小說從題材上延續(xù)了作者一貫以來的一個(gè)家庭幾代人的故事格局,關(guān)注中美文化的沖突和融合,關(guān)注母女關(guān)系和身份危機(jī),而敘述的方式則采用女性自我言說的策略。但是《驚奇山谷》并不是對(duì)以往作品的重復(fù),而是在原有的主題之下又有新的突破,體現(xiàn)了譚恩美文化認(rèn)知的新發(fā)展。本文共分為五個(gè)部分:第一章首先介紹作家譚恩美在西方的獨(dú)特成長(zhǎng)經(jīng)歷和對(duì)中國(guó)的感觸,其次介紹作品《驚奇山谷》的相關(guān)背景知識(shí)。第二章概述國(guó)內(nèi)外的專家學(xué)者從不同理論角度出發(fā)對(duì)作家譚恩美及其作品所做的研究。第三章闡述本文的理論基礎(chǔ),即東方主義理論的產(chǎn)生與發(fā)展過程,并介紹該理論代表人物賽義德所持的主要觀點(diǎn)。第四章以東方主義理論為支點(diǎn),結(jié)合文本重點(diǎn)剖析《驚奇山谷》中三代女性形象——華裔女性維奧萊特、美國(guó)女性露露及中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)女性等各自的形象特點(diǎn),以及作品如何體現(xiàn)了譚恩美在寫作方面超越以往創(chuàng)作思路,積極發(fā)揮自己的文學(xué)創(chuàng)造力。本文指出,這部小說體現(xiàn)了譚恩美對(duì)中國(guó)及中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化有了新的認(rèn)識(shí)和突破,即實(shí)現(xiàn)了文化認(rèn)知的發(fā)展。結(jié)論部分簡(jiǎn)要概括上述論文內(nèi)容并總結(jié)本文的研究成果。鑒于譚恩美生活并成長(zhǎng)于西方世界,擁有多元文化背景的特殊性,中美學(xué)者從不同視角出發(fā)對(duì)她本人及其作品進(jìn)行了多重研究。本文運(yùn)用東方主義理論分析《驚奇山谷》中譚恩美筆下女性人物的形象,以期能夠?yàn)閲?guó)內(nèi)外專家學(xué)者對(duì)譚恩美本人及其作品的相關(guān)研究略盡綿薄之力。
[Abstract]:Amy Tan, a famous Chinese American woman writer, was born and raised in the United States. In 1989, Amy Tan published her first novel, the Joy Luck Club, which aroused strong reaction in the United States and topped the New York Times best-seller list. Amy Tan published her latest novel, the Valley of Marvel, which attracted worldwide attention. As a Chinese woman writer, Amy Tan's dual identity has always influenced her writing career. Her novels follow the story pattern of several generations of family, pay attention to the conflict and fusion of Chinese and American culture, pay attention to mother-daughter relationship and identity crisis, and adopt the strategy of female self-expression. But the Valley of Marvel is not a repetition of previous works, but a new breakthrough under the original theme, which reflects the new development of Amy Tan's cultural cognition. This paper is divided into five parts: the first chapter introduces the writer Amy Tan's unique experience of growing up in the West and her feelings to China, and then introduces the relevant background knowledge of her work the Valley of Marvel. The second chapter summarizes the domestic and foreign experts and scholars from different theoretical perspectives on the writer Amy Tan and his works. The third chapter describes the theoretical basis of this paper, that is, the oriental theory of the emergence and development process, and introduces the theory on behalf of the main point of view of the figure said. The fourth chapter takes Orientalism theory as the fulcrum, and analyzes the image characteristics of the female images of the three generations in the Valley of Marvel-Violet, American female Lulu and Chinese traditional woman. And how to reflect Tan Enmei in writing beyond the previous creative ideas, actively exerting her own literary creativity. This paper points out that this novel embodies Tan Enmei's new understanding and breakthrough of China and its traditional culture, that is, realizing the development of cultural cognition. The conclusion part briefly summarizes the contents of the above thesis and summarizes the research results of this paper. In view of the particularity of Amy Tan's living and growing up in the western world and her multicultural background, Chinese and American scholars have made many studies on her and her works from different perspectives. This paper applies orientalism theory to analyze the images of the female characters in Amy Tan's works in the Valley of Marvel in order to make a little contribution to the study of Amy Tan and her works by experts and scholars at home and abroad.
