【摘要】：威廉·�？思{是當(dāng)代美國最具世界影響力的作家之一,在近四十年的創(chuàng)作實踐過程中,他在敘述技巧上不斷探索和革新,留下了一系列的杰出著作。作為約克納帕塔法系列中瑰麗的一筆,《我彌留之際》以其精巧的敘事結(jié)構(gòu)、艱澀隱晦的語言風(fēng)格引發(fā)了研究者的關(guān)注。本文從這部小說的敘述聲音入手,分析了文本中不同類型的敘述聲音所產(chǎn)生的敘述效果。第一章從理論上分析敘述聲音的概念、源流及發(fā)展過程;第二章根據(jù)蘇珊·蘭瑟對敘述聲音的分類,集中分析了文本中作者型敘述聲音、個人型敘述聲音及集體型敘述聲音;第三章分析了多重敘述聲音交織在一起后,所產(chǎn)生的復(fù)調(diào)型敘述效果。多重敘述聲音的交疊傳達(dá)了作者對南方傳統(tǒng)文化沒落的哀悼之情:福克納一方面很留戀南方傳統(tǒng)文化,另一方面,作為一位偉大的作家,他敏銳地察覺到,工業(yè)文明對南方文化傳統(tǒng)的侵蝕與消解勢不可擋。作者中矛盾的心情導(dǎo)致了小說文本中多重敘述聲音的生成,進(jìn)而增加了讀者解讀這部小說的難度。本文從想《我彌留之際》中的敘述聲音入手,試圖為現(xiàn)代小說的讀解提供一種方式。
[Abstract]:William Faulkner is one of the most influential writers in contemporary America. In the course of nearly 40 years of creative practice, William Faulkner has constantly explored and innovated his narrative skills, leaving behind a series of outstanding works. As a magnificent stroke in the series of Yoknapatawa, my dying time has attracted the attention of researchers with its delicate narrative structure and obscure language style. Starting with the narrative sound of the novel, this paper analyzes the narrative effects of different types of narrative sounds in the text. The first chapter theoretically analyzes the concept, origin and development of narrative sound, the second chapter focuses on the author type narrative sound, individual narrative sound and collective narrative sound according to Susan Lanser's classification of narrative sound. The third chapter analyzes the polyphonic narrative effect after multiple narration sounds intertwined. The overlap of multiple narratives conveys the author's mourning for the decline of southern traditional culture: Faulkner, on the one hand, is nostalgic for the traditional culture of the South, on the other hand, as a great writer, he is acutely aware of it. Industrial civilization is irresistible in eroding and dispelling the cultural tradition of the South. The contradictory mood of the author leads to the formation of multiple narratives in the novel, which makes it more difficult for readers to interpret the novel. This paper attempts to provide a way for the reading of modern novels by thinking of the narrative voice in my dying Day.
