[Abstract]:Zhenghausa (Hausa) is one of the three main ethnic groups in Nigeria, and the other two are Yoluba (Yoruba) and Ibo (Igbo). The latter two ethnic groups are better known to Chinese readers because they have produced two outstanding figures in the history of modern African literature: Soyinka, the first Nobel Prize winner in Africa, and Achibe, who is regarded as the father of African literature. In contrast, Hausa nationality and its literature are not known to us, and its unique way of literary modernization has never been included in our research field. But it is necessary to understand the formation of modern Hausa language literature, because it represents a unique process in the formation of modern colonial literature.
