【摘要】：薩拉·奧恩·朱厄特是美國(guó)人最為喜愛(ài)的作家之一,其成就主要展現(xiàn)在對(duì)緬因州南貝里克及周邊地區(qū)特色的描述上。朱厄特的小說(shuō)因?qū)ε匀宋锏纳鷦?dòng)刻畫(huà)和鄉(xiāng)村大自然的細(xì)致描寫(xiě),受到了讀者的歡迎。代表作《尖尖的樅樹(shù)之鄉(xiāng)》牢固地樹(shù)立了朱厄特在美國(guó)文學(xué)界的地位。隨著人們對(duì)環(huán)境問(wèn)題的關(guān)切,《尖尖的樅樹(shù)之鄉(xiāng)》受到了更多評(píng)論家的關(guān)注。目前,評(píng)論家已從現(xiàn)實(shí)主義、地方主義、種族主義、女性主義以及從文化的角度對(duì)其進(jìn)行了解讀,但生態(tài)主義研究尚不充足。盡管朱厄特在嚴(yán)格意義上不能被稱(chēng)作生態(tài)主義小說(shuō)家,但生態(tài)主義的思想貫穿該文本始終,而評(píng)論界并未在該角度給予足夠的重視。本論文試圖從生態(tài)批評(píng)視角來(lái)解讀朱厄特的《尖尖的樅樹(shù)之鄉(xiāng)》。通過(guò)從自然生態(tài),社會(huì)生態(tài)和精神生態(tài)這三方面對(duì)該作品闡述,本論文細(xì)致全面地闡釋了朱厄特的生態(tài)思想在小說(shuō)中的體現(xiàn),從而使讀者感受和領(lǐng)略到朱厄特對(duì)環(huán)境問(wèn)題的關(guān)注和深思。從生態(tài)批評(píng)視角來(lái)解讀《尖尖的樅樹(shù)之鄉(xiāng)》具有十分重要的意義,一方面它可促使讀者對(duì)當(dāng)前社會(huì)所存在的自然危機(jī),社會(huì)危機(jī)和精神危機(jī)做進(jìn)一步思考,另一方面可幫助讀者對(duì)對(duì)朱厄特及其作品在這方面進(jìn)行更深入研究。
[Abstract]:Sarah Orne Jewett is one of America's favorite writers, His achievements are mainly manifested in the description of the characteristics of South Bellick and surrounding areas in Maine. Jewett's novels are characterized by vivid portrayal of female characters and detailed descriptions of rural nature. Popular with readers. His masterpiece, Home of the fir Tree, firmly established Jewett's position in the American literary world. With the concern of the environment, the Home of the pointed Tree has attracted more and more critics' attention. At present, Critics have interpreted it in terms of realism, localism, racism, feminism and culture, but the study of ecologism has not been sufficient, although Jewett is not strictly known as an ecologicist novelist. However, the thought of ecologism runs through the text all the time, and the critics have not paid enough attention to it. This paper attempts to interpret Jewett's "the Home of the fir Tree" from the perspective of ecological criticism. Social ecology and spiritual ecology are the three aspects of the work elaborated, this paper meticulously and comprehensively explains the embodiment of Jewett's ecological thought in the novel. So that readers can feel and appreciate Jewett's concern and deep thinking on environmental issues. It is of great significance to interpret the "Home of the fir tree" from the perspective of ecological criticism. On the one hand, it can make readers think further about the natural crisis, social crisis and spiritual crisis in the present society, on the other hand, it can help readers to study Jewett and his works more deeply in this respect.
