論志賀直哉初期作品中的母親形象

【摘要】:志賀直哉是從明治末期起,經(jīng)歷大正,昭和年代,長(zhǎng)期活躍在日本近代文壇的白樺派代表性作家。在志賀的作品中,以自身生活為題材寫的私小說(shuō)和隨筆非常多。總體來(lái)看,現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中與父親的不和是志賀文學(xué)創(chuàng)作的一大原動(dòng)力。然而在志賀的初期作品中,關(guān)于母親或祖母的描寫甚至較父親更多一些。本篇論文主要通過(guò)文本分析的方法,總結(jié)歸納志賀直哉初期作品中的母親形象特征。再結(jié)合現(xiàn)存的作家草稿,筆記,書信等文獻(xiàn)資料,對(duì)作家創(chuàng)作時(shí)的心態(tài)和時(shí)代背景進(jìn)行探討。最后對(duì)從中體現(xiàn)出來(lái)的作者觀念也進(jìn)行簡(jiǎn)要的分析。關(guān)于志賀直哉文學(xué)創(chuàng)作的初期階段,在參照先行研究的基礎(chǔ)上,將初期定為從處女作《某個(gè)清晨》與《到網(wǎng)走》寫就的1908年,到開始了2年多空白期的1914年之間。通過(guò)對(duì)這個(gè)階段作品的分析,總結(jié)出在志賀直哉的初期作品中,母親形象在性格方面可以歸納為母性,軟弱的兩大特征;在命運(yùn)方面,可以總結(jié)為不幸這一個(gè)特征。值得注意的一點(diǎn)是,母親形象中的軟弱特征往往體現(xiàn)在作品中的母親對(duì)家庭中的男性成員事事順從,一遇事不敢自己拿主意,產(chǎn)生不安或不滿情緒時(shí),唯有獨(dú)自落淚這一點(diǎn)上。這個(gè)軟弱其實(shí)并非某個(gè)個(gè)體特有的軟弱性格,而是母親們家庭地位低,精神不夠獨(dú)立,一切從屬于男性的體現(xiàn)。而志賀直哉對(duì)作品中母親不幸命運(yùn)的描寫,則側(cè)重強(qiáng)調(diào)了家庭中丈夫的薄情寡義,兒子的刁蠻任性,是使得母親付出的愛(ài)情與辛勞得不到回報(bào),陷入不幸的罪魁禍?zhǔn)。這主要來(lái)自志賀所看到的父親對(duì)生母和繼母的對(duì)待方式。生母去世時(shí)父親滴淚未流的薄情表現(xiàn),自己心中對(duì)母親不幸的同情,都被志賀直哉融入進(jìn)了作品當(dāng)中。此外,當(dāng)時(shí)社會(huì)盛行的良母賢妻女子教育思想,也影響到了志賀直哉對(duì)母親的看法。在他的筆下,母親這一身份,和丈夫,孩子的關(guān)系往往被強(qiáng)調(diào),而對(duì)于母親本人,則沒(méi)有深入的心理描寫。這和當(dāng)時(shí)注重女性的家庭角色,忽視女性的獨(dú)立人格發(fā)展的社會(huì)氛圍是一致的。志賀直哉在初期作品中描寫的母親的母性和軟弱的性格特質(zhì),顯得極其的平面化和臉譜化。由于生活中對(duì)女性,對(duì)母親的了解不夠深入,使得志賀只能站在自己的視角上,去描寫對(duì)自己而言的,自己理想中的母親。志賀只是沿著自己被社會(huì),家庭傳統(tǒng)影響的固有觀念,將母親形象作為了表現(xiàn)自己對(duì)母愛(ài)渴求,對(duì)父親不滿的符號(hào)與工具。
