論標(biāo)記視角下的風(fēng)格傳遞-The Great Gatsby兩種譯本個(gè)案研究

文學(xué)作品中的風(fēng)格翻譯在翻譯界一直備受關(guān)注,因?yàn)槠涫欠g研究中最復(fù)雜而敏感的問題之一。關(guān)于風(fēng)格問題,中西翻譯家一直以來爭論的焦點(diǎn)是風(fēng)格的可譯性以及如果可譯怎樣傳遞原文的風(fēng)格。很多翻譯家都在其理論中都提到了風(fēng)格的傳遞問題,比如泰特勒認(rèn)為“譯文的風(fēng)格和筆調(diào)應(yīng)與原文相同”,劉重德提出了“信、達(dá)、切”,其中的“切”特指風(fēng)格的等值,證明了風(fēng)格翻譯的必要性和重要性,因此對(duì)風(fēng)格翻譯的研究無論在理論上還是在實(shí)踐上都具有特別重要的意義。通過考察國內(nèi)外學(xué)者在這方面的研究,不難發(fā)現(xiàn)大多數(shù)學(xué)者的觀點(diǎn)是風(fēng)格翻譯雖難但卻是可譯的,甚至有學(xué)者認(rèn)為它非譯不可,并且現(xiàn)在風(fēng)格對(duì)等也被普遍看做是文學(xué)翻譯的最高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。本文作者持一種辯證的觀點(diǎn),認(rèn)為不同語言和文化之間的巨大差異給風(fēng)格的絕對(duì)對(duì)等造成了極大困難,換言之,風(fēng)格只能在某種程度上達(dá)到對(duì)等,而譯者只能最大程度地傳遞原文風(fēng)格。 語言是風(fēng)格的載體,風(fēng)格賦形于語言。風(fēng)格再抽象也是通過語言符號(hào)的組合排列表現(xiàn)出來的,所以通過識(shí)別風(fēng)格的語言標(biāo)記就能識(shí)別風(fēng)格。除了傳達(dá)語言信息,風(fēng)格還能表現(xiàn)出文學(xué)作品潛在的思想感情,作家的個(gè)人氣質(zhì)及其作品的審美傾價(jià)值。也就是說風(fēng)格的內(nèi)涵主要由語言和文學(xué)這兩個(gè)...
