中美新聞個人評論語篇中情態(tài)的對比研究

本文旨在描寫并解釋中美新聞個人評論語篇中情態(tài)使用方面所體現(xiàn)出的微觀差異,通過對這些微觀差異的分析,總結地道的情態(tài)使用方式以期達到為國內基礎教育階段以情態(tài)動詞為代表的英語情態(tài)表達形式的教學提供新思路的目的。本研究的理論基礎是功能語法對情態(tài)表達類型、取向和情態(tài)值的相關研究以及文化影響語言運用的理論。 針對英語中情態(tài)的使用,國內外學者均做了大量研究。早期Palme(1979)在其著作《情態(tài)和英語情態(tài)助動詞》中就對英語情態(tài)系統(tǒng)和情態(tài)動詞做了相對全面的分析。情態(tài)研究在結合了具體語域后,研究焦點從對情態(tài)系統(tǒng)具體分類的爭論轉而側重于揭示情態(tài)使用所體現(xiàn)出的人際交往意義。功能語法尤其如此,韓禮德(1994)將情態(tài)系統(tǒng)列為實現(xiàn)人際意義的主要形式,指出情態(tài)涉及“說話者對其話語內容中所包含可能性或義務性的判斷”,對情態(tài)的描寫更具系統(tǒng)性。 隨著語料庫語言學的進步,針對特定類型語篇的情態(tài)使用研究得到了突飛猛進的發(fā)展,所涉及的語篇也涵蓋了醫(yī)學、法律、廣告、學術以及政治等等。其中,在國外Bybee(1984)和Vihla(1999)分別對幼兒語言和醫(yī)療語篇中的情態(tài)使用做了研究。在國內楊信彰(2006)研究了法律和學術...
