傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)術(shù)語(yǔ)的英譯為傳播中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)醫(yī)學(xué)文化,為世界人民的健康服務(wù)架起了橋梁。隨著國(guó)內(nèi)外對(duì)傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)術(shù)語(yǔ)的翻譯交流不斷加深,世界范圍內(nèi)的關(guān)注越來(lái)越多,傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)術(shù)語(yǔ)的翻譯研究變得越來(lái)越重要。在翻譯傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)術(shù)語(yǔ)的過(guò)程中,各種語(yǔ)言及文化差異造成的不可譯現(xiàn)象往往困擾著譯者。本文試圖以此探討傳統(tǒng)中醫(yī)術(shù)語(yǔ)英譯中對(duì)不可譯現(xiàn)象的讀者關(guān)照問(wèn)題。在接受理論引入到翻譯研究之后,讀者的地位和作用逐漸受到重視和關(guān)注,這種讀者中心論范式的理論觀點(diǎn),為翻譯研究提供了新的理論視角。由于語(yǔ)言具有承載和儲(chǔ)存文化內(nèi)容的功能,因此,每一種語(yǔ)言都必然擁有大量反映該語(yǔ)言民族所特有的文化事物的詞語(yǔ)。當(dāng)譯者遇到這種詞語(yǔ)時(shí),由于譯語(yǔ)中缺少相應(yīng)的語(yǔ)言符號(hào)來(lái)指稱(chēng)這種特有的文化事物,就必須創(chuàng)造某種符號(hào)來(lái)加以指稱(chēng),但因這一語(yǔ)言符號(hào)尚未得到譯語(yǔ)讀者的認(rèn)可,因此譯者往往要采取一些輔助手段如加注才能使譯語(yǔ)讀者理解其文化所指。因此初次翻譯時(shí),這些反映某一語(yǔ)言民族所特有的文化事物的詞語(yǔ)往往是不可譯的,有時(shí)原語(yǔ)中的一個(gè)詞可以在譯語(yǔ)中同時(shí)出現(xiàn)幾個(gè)譯名。但隨著時(shí)間的推移和文化交流的加深,受歡迎的譯名便會(huì)在譯語(yǔ)中扎下根,逐漸固定下來(lái),得到譯語(yǔ)讀者的認(rèn)可,最終成為可譯...
