全球化是一個詞也是一種概念,同時也是一個人類發(fā)展的復(fù)雜過程。在這個過程中各種因素相互滲透,如經(jīng)濟、政治、文化、意識形態(tài)等。從某種程度上看,全球化會加劇各國、各種文化的不平衡發(fā)展;在全球化的掩蓋下,文化自身的功能被置換,文化的某些傳統(tǒng)和其規(guī)定性正在喪失;一個國家或民族語言的終結(jié)就標志著其文明的終結(jié)。因此,任何一個維護自身文化價值的國家都不會眼睜睜地看著本族的語言消失而無動于衷。而翻譯,作為思想表達、情感交流、文化創(chuàng)造的重要方式之一,必須時刻警惕不能成為某一強權(quán)意識形態(tài)羞辱、踐踏、殖民他者的武器。文化全球化的進程中,我們可以看到一些文化霸權(quán)現(xiàn)象,即發(fā)達國家憑借其強大的政治經(jīng)濟優(yōu)勢,或借助意識形態(tài)等傳媒機器對文化他者進行文化剝削和占有,依據(jù)其強勢地位對處于弱勢的文化他者國家構(gòu)成文化霸權(quán)。其實,翻譯被用于政治目的已有悠久的歷史。17、18世紀是歐洲殖民主義的黃金時代,那時的翻譯無疑是歐洲殖民的重要手段。另外,翻譯的產(chǎn)生在非洲大陸也有其政治意義。因此,帝國主義國家借助翻譯作為其重要手段用以實現(xiàn)他們的文化霸權(quán)目的。倫理學的研究對象是一定社會的基本人際關(guān)系規(guī)范及其相應(yīng)的道德原則。翻譯作為一種跨文化交...
