英漢時間隱喻及其文化意義的對比研究

時間是看不見摸不著的抽象的概念。認知語言學認為,時間概念是通過空間概念來投射的。在空間隱喻中,傳統(tǒng)的時間空間隱喻表征主要基于兩個面向將來型動態(tài)的隱喻方式：時間在動的隱喻和觀察者在動的隱喻。我們認為這種認識過于粗略與一般化,難以明確解釋很多英漢時間隱喻現(xiàn)象。基于這一問題,根據對空間方位的認知以及觀者面對時間流的不同區(qū)域,一方面我們可進一步補充從水平層面對時間的面向過去型靜態(tài)時間隱喻方式分析英漢隱喻概念的相似性與差異性；另一方面在垂直層面以觀察者所處的不同觀測點和狀態(tài)對時間的空間隱喻加以解釋。同時,傳統(tǒng)英漢時間隱喻以空間隱喻、實體隱喻和結構隱喻為分類基礎的分析框架存在不合理與不科學性,因此本文從修辭視角提出新的分析框架,從時間的“空間化隱喻”、“擬人化隱喻”、“物化隱喻”、“事件化隱喻”、“抽象化隱喻”、“色彩化隱喻”和“典故隱喻”等七方面對英漢時間隱喻概念及表征加以比較分析。進一步從文化與思維視角全面深入地審視英漢時間隱喻的異同點,并揭示形成這一現(xiàn)象的深層原因。最后,提出語言現(xiàn)象以及文化因素在歷史與社會前進中的時代意義。
