漢英水詞群的范疇化研究

水與我們的生活息息相關(guān),語言中與水相關(guān)的概念數(shù)量龐大,卻相互關(guān)聯(lián)。水詞群是與水相關(guān)的詞匯的集合,水詞群中各成員的語義范疇不是孤立存在的,而是相互聯(lián)系的,有認(rèn)知共性的。本文試圖從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)視角入手,通過漢英語中水詞群的范疇化過程的深入研究,以近兩年《紐約時報》、《人民日報》網(wǎng)絡(luò)版資源和相關(guān)詞典為語料支持,運用西方的范疇化理論與中國傳統(tǒng)的訓(xùn)詁學(xué)研究成果,分析漢英水詞群中核心概念“水”及與水相關(guān)的物質(zhì)范疇(以“酒”、“海”為代表)、行為范疇(以“沐”、“浴”為代表)和屬性范疇(以擬水聲的象聲詞為代表),從而揭示中西方水詞群范疇化過程的異同。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),漢英兩種語言在表達相同或相似的概念時,既有普遍性又有特殊性。認(rèn)知的普遍性源于我們相同的體驗:水具有流動性,因此在時間域、交通域、思想域有著相似的映射;水是力量之源,因此在力量域有著相似的映射。而中西方不同的文化背景又創(chuàng)造出截然不同的水文化:“水”范疇里體現(xiàn)著中國文化特有的比德喻道;“海”范疇中可以看到海洋文化與陸地文化的差異,“沐”、“浴”范疇中享樂文化與禮儀文化差異明顯。水在中西方文化中的認(rèn)知地位舉足輕重,是中西方哲學(xué)本原的重要概念。據(jù)此,本文...
